Indiana GOP appears ready to shove Dick Lugar overboard

In 2006, Lugar won re-election with 87 percent of the vote; the Democrats didn’t even bother to put a name on the ballot against him. In his previous three Senate elections, Lugar won with at least a 2-to-1 margin of victory.
But if Mourdock really does have the public commitment of three-quarters of Indiana’s GOP chairman — and there’s no evidence on which to question his claim — Lugar is in big trouble in next year’s primary.

As is understood, bigotry is bias against someone based on race, origin, or other characteristic. Anyone can be a bigot, regardless to their status in society. A racist, is a person who is bigoted against someone because of their race, and they have the power or influence to act on their bigotry against the other race. I might have someone way out in the family tree that had some kinda power to be racist. After all, we’ve discovered, African, Caucasian, and Cherokee ancestry on our family tree. Maybe USMC is that racist on my family tree that we haven’t found yet. Who knows????

And what can happen when we approach the question with an open mind…I’ve said this before, but one of mine and Unmentionable’s “connections” is that during Removals my great-great grandfathers on both sides drew low numbers in the lottery and picked up some nice chunks of land and sent his great-greats packing and then, 150 years later, here he and I are…his white line goes back to William’s Day at the Beach, on the French side…my English line met them swords drawn, and a thousand years later…and so it goes.

Josef – I tried shaking my family tree, but nothing really exciting fell out. Just ordinary, what you might call “colonial” PA background: German and Scotch/Irish. And we don’t even go BACK as far as colonial times. About the most exciting thing was my great-grandmother – who was married by my great-grandfather, divorced him, married his business partner- who shot her and killed himself. She lived to be 98 with a bullet in her brain.

Not to worry…got it done…on Granddaddy’s side we’ve got Cuzzin’ Cleo who claims to have us back to Adam and Eve! He’s really not as far off as it might seem on the surface…long story, but the Reader’s Digest version…the line traces through Machir the Babylon, sent at Chalemagne’s request by the Babylonian Sanhedrin (seeing an opportunity to get rid of one of their members who was not quite so orthodox!) and from there the documentation does begin to get into a bit of the begats, but was from a family who stayed in Babylon after the repatriation way back when…and, well, it’s at about this point that Cousin Cleo gets a bit, well, addled!
