He will call for, it seems, “a new era of cooperation.”
Well, we’ll see.

“Innovation.” That’s the do-a-shot word, according to Blitzer’s posse.
Common Sense isn't very Common
January 25th, 20119:05 pm
We have an incomprehensible “debt threat” due to his doing but I wonder if he will mention the Islamic threat and what he is going to do about that as well ?
moonbat betty (sotu)
January 25th, 20119:07 pm
the new dem mantra.
sit down bitch-ez.
and bottumz’ up!
Jay = Do you think there is any truth to the rumor that he is going to mention HR 6556?
January 25th, 20119:10 pm
Regarding the President’s speech and his unquenceable desire to make the federal government even bigger could someone name me just “one area” that the 10th Amendment to the Constitution absolutely reserves to the states ?
Keep up the good fight!
January 25th, 20119:11 pm
Scout…when are you going to get some original material and quit recycling?
January 25th, 20119:12 pm
January 25th, 20119:13 pm
Anyone from Supreme Court in attendance?
Obama can’t even read the teleprompter correctly.
It’s BONER. BONER, I TELL YOU!
Take a drink.
January 25th, 20119:14 pm
Boehner’s having a hard time there.
Finn McCool (Yes, Reps won, they now control a whopping 1/2 of 1/3 of the legislative body.) (Golf Clap.)
Weeper of the House didn’t tear up introducing the POTUS….oop, oop, I’m seeing some tears now.
January 25th, 20119:15 pm
I can’t imagine the reaction if a Democratic male politician had that tic.
Is he CRYING? He IS! Boehner’s crying!
actually, I can
January 25th, 20119:16 pm
So, with Dems and good guys sitting together, was someone in charge of place cards?
January 25th, 20119:17 pm
Speaker of the Sauce.
I believe Biden needs to share with Boehner some of that Jack Daniels bottle he’s holding under the desk.
I wonder what the tone and undertone would be like if Tucson hadn’t happened.
January 25th, 20119:19 pm
The speaker needs a drink.
Uh, Boehner is fine, although he may be nauseous listening to this BS
South of Macon
You saw the tone last year… the idiot from South Carolina saw to that! Would have been a repeat.
January 25th, 20119:20 pm
The Sputnik argument.
Speaking of Tucson, even the Evil Overlord, Darth Cheney, is calling for a re-ban on over-sized magazine clips.
What have you NRA peeps learned from all this? You need laws to keep the most unstable citizens away from the gun shops or you WILL have your freedoms eventually reduced. Not all laws are bad, ya know?
Who watches that tripe anyways? One propaganda speech is as good as another, whether it’s the Texas imbecile or this one.
January 25th, 20119:22 pm
Barack looks a little greyer than this time last year.
Can someone list one substantive thing he has said so far? Rhetoric, rhetoric, rhetoric….
Boner is crying – is that any better than seeing old skeletor scowling down at everyone? Bwahahaha!
January 25th, 20119:23 pm
January 25th, 20119:24 pm
Ack! Too much! Too fast!
Sputnik – good call Jay.
January 25th, 20119:25 pm
Did he just say “We’re sending the Speaker to Mars…a 5 year trip. Congratulations, Boehner.”
Arr, I didn’t think so.
Jay, I just heard Sputnik. I have Comcast. What are you watching?
Any word about jobs yet?
I’ve been scanning a text of the speech, and it’s safe to say it’s not heavy on content.
January 25th, 20119:26 pm
Biden’s bottom lip is quivering.
January 25th, 20119:27 pm
my secret personal connection, Wolf. The rest of you are on a five-minute delay.
January 25th, 20119:28 pm
I’m selling all stock I have from any CEO’s company who showed up here tonight.
Cut those oil companies off the subsidies! Yeah!!!
just kidding. He was making the Sputnik education argument earlier, so I used the term then. I didn’t know it was coming later as well.
January 25th, 20119:29 pm
There you go — green jobs!!!!! Yessssss!!!!!
I’m sure they’re quivering at the news, Sinkwich.
Thanks, and gee, what a surprise.
Oh, newsflash – by 2035, when I’m dead, all U.S. electricity will come from clean energy sources. Now, say how….
ok….parents step up… education is your responsibility, too… from the point of conception
January 25th, 20119:30 pm
Re-invent energy policy — kill oil, coal, and natural gas.
January 25th, 20119:31 pm
How can h the President create jobs, when greeds CEO and boards are always downsizing the workforce???
Hah! Family values! Family values! W is in Crawford laughing his a$$ off right now.
January 25th, 20119:32 pm
The decision to “pair off”, to break up the partisan groupings, has really altered the breakouts of applause, etc. Nobody knows how to act.
I ain’t driving no stinkin’ Volt.
Boehner has a better tan than the POTUS.
January 25th, 20119:33 pm
Respect teachers…. now that’s an idea whose time has come… again
January 25th, 20119:34 pm
“I’ve been scanning a text of the speech, and it’s safe to say it’s not heavy on content.”
Not trying to pile on him too much, who would watch it if it was? You know better.
Yeah, they all look confused.
Bet this is the last time they sit like this.
A tense moment coming up here.
Jay @ 9:12
I believe you are correct.
So …………… what is the purpose of the 10th Amendment limiting the federal government if there is no area in which they cannot assume federal jurisdiction ?
Has the 10th Amendment been prostituted out of existance by the Supreme Court without a Constitutional Amendment?
“Become a teacher. Your country needs you.”
Sure — but a teacher needs to make a living!!!
maybe Pelsosi can give Boner some butterfly kisses.
viva la BP!
Southern Comfort (B.P.O.I.B.W.)
January 25th, 20119:35 pm
January 25th, 20119:36 pm
Someone needs to tell Obama those factory jobs in Forsyth County, NC left long before the current students entered school.
Keep up the good fight! :
1) Whenever Jay gets some new material.
2) Whenever you and your lib. friends answer an honest question.
3) Whenever you see the light.
When Nancy Pelosi stood up it looked like she had a boner.
January 25th, 20119:37 pm
what is the purpose of the 10th Amendment limiting the federal government if there is no area in which they cannot assume federal jurisdiction ?
Give Constitutional scholars something to argue over the meaning of, kinda like the 14th?
You’re right, Jay. The “pair off” kissy-face strategy of the democrats worked wonderfully. The Republicans (RINOs) still have a lot to learn.
“I strongly believe that we should take on, once and for all, the issue of illegal immigration. I am prepared to work with Republicans and Democrats to protect our borders, enforce our laws and address the millions of undocumented workers who are now living in the shadows…. let’s stop expelling talented, responsible young people who can staff our research labs, start new businesses, and further enrich this nation.”
That absolutely ought to happen. And absolutely won’t.
January 25th, 20119:38 pm
Nancy needs to walk up there and smack the chap off Boehners lips.
So Sinkwich, you think it’s a bad thing? Why?
Not a long as I’m at work. I have a service I have to provide to the taxpayers.
January 25th, 20119:39 pm
yes, 10 million more college grads to compete for $2 a day jobs.
January 25th, 20119:40 pm
Finn McCool (Yes, Reps won, they now control a whopping 1/2 of 1/3 of the legislative body.) (Golf Clap.) :
The laws are there. They are just not enforced as they should/could be.
I can’t tell you how many times my agency arrested a felon with a gun on a counterfeit or other fraud charge and the U.S. Attorney’s office would almost always drop the federal weapons charge.
too bad we are too stupid, too bigoted to embrace intelligence unless the person looks just like us… and see that our future depends on it
January 25th, 20119:41 pm
They applaud the friggin’ cell phone plug.
OH, HE MADE A FUNNY!! Pelosi’s face actually moved despite the plastic surgery.
What about tax breaks, when is he going to say what we all know to be true? That tax breaks solve all problems, even early onset Alzheimers and acne.
Yes, the electric car eats up more petrol than a Yukon Denali.
January 25th, 20119:43 pm
Lower the corporate tax rate? I love it! He’s a sell out, like Clinton in ‘95!
Boehner is thinking it through: “Exports is when the products are coming in ..or when they ‘re going out? Ah, eff it.”
January 25th, 20119:44 pm
in other words, let’s make the illegal’s legal,,,,,,,,,cuz they vote….
January 25th, 20119:45 pm
Yes, lets suck China’s p-nis.
We should be more like them.
They have survived thousands of years so far, idiots.
Is that why Reagan did it, Jack?
Oh, the Supreme Court is there. Forgiving bunch, they are.
January 25th, 20119:46 pm
Love it when he talks HEALTHCARE!
See mcCain’s face?
“What’s wrong with medical exploration? Cindy used to like it like that. Till I screwed up the DADT thing.”
“We can start right now by correcting a flaw in the legislation that has placed an unnecessary bookkeeping burden on small businesses.”
It’ll be interesting to see how that one plays out. Boehner winced when Obama mentioned pre-existing conditions coverage.
January 25th, 20119:47 pm
Definitely…when talking healthcare, he wins more Americans over!
“Let’s fix what needs fixing and let’s move forward.”
he scares me, he really scares me…….almost exactly like Clinton..says all the right things..
Very weak defense of Obamacare.
January 25th, 20119:48 pm
the deficit woes began “almost a decade ago.”
Now when would that be again?
(Acknowledging, of course, that they actually began before that).
maybe,, but at least i’ll admit it…
January 25th, 20119:49 pm
AWWWW Jack… Reagan was the master of that… not just a Dem characteristic!
the ONE thing that the federal government should be doing….defending us…so, let’s cut there..
He’s got to be kidding on reducing spending. Not near enough, not even off the start line. He’s trying to play the heart string – the backs of the most needy. I too may tear up.
January 25th, 20119:50 pm
NOW he’s worried about deficits. And he botched the airplane joke. No timing.
the deficit woes began “almost a decade ago.” what happened to “Let’s fix what needs fixing and let’s move forward.”
January 25th, 20119:51 pm
Loop holes… is that something like a pot hole? Try to fill ‘em but they keep coming back?
like i said, at least i’ll admit it…now could you do the same?
Oh, no, he di’in’t!
How long has obama lived on the “main land?”
Has he ever caught a trout?
January 25th, 20119:52 pm
“And if we truly care about our deficit, we simply cannot afford a permanent extension of the tax cuts for the wealthiest 2% of Americans. Before we take money away from our schools, or scholarships away from our students, we should ask millionaires to give up their tax break.”
The critical phrase being “… if we truly care about our deficit.”
And a bone to the GOP, re: medical malpractice. He made the same offer last year, but the GOP couldnt bring itself to accept.
the ONE thing that the federal government should be doing….defending us
The Republican line:
” Governmet is too big. Government is made up of idiots. I don’t want to pay taxes that pay for military spending….but, oh look, bad guys over there so let me hide behind my big ole military.”
Tort reform? What a cave.
