U.S. Rep. John Boehner
John Boehner, who is likely to become the next speaker of the House, went on Sean Hannity’s radio show Wednesday to offer a preview of what to expect:
“This is not a time for compromise, and I can tell you that we will not compromise on our principles,” Boehner said….
As for Obama’s own agenda, Boehner promised, “We’re going to do everything – and I mean everything we can do – to kill it, stop it, slow it down, whatever we can.”
Meanwhile, according to a newly released Bloomberg poll:

Four out of five Americans want compromise. The Republicans don’t dare even entertain compromise. This is playing right to Obama’s strength. He will come across as calm, rational and reasonable. The Republicans will either come across as angry and aggressive, or they will deeply disappoint their own base.
Obama will also have history on his side. As National Journal points out, presidents who lose control of Congress in their first midterms tend to gain a political advantage:
“It’s occurred three times in the past 100 years, and in each case the minority party that took control watched the supposedly vanquished president win reelection just two years later. First, Harry Truman in 1948 (after losing 55 House and 13 Senate seats in 1946); second, Dwight Eisenhower in 1956 (after losing 18 House and two Senate seats in 1954, creating Democratic majorities that would last in the Senate until 1980 and in the House until 1994); and finally, Bill Clinton in 1996 (after losing 54 House and eight Senate seats in 1994).”

A liberal’s response to an “Amigos de Patriots” campaign ad.
As far as the hispanic vote is concerned, I’m not sure where this dude is getting his info but he is grossly mistaken. The hispanic vote is solid Democratic, especially here in Ca. It is why Whitman and Fiorina will lose. But don’t blame that on the Dems. The GOP has done NOTHING to reach out to this GROWING demographic. Over the long term (they are reproducing, whites are not) the GOP will pay.
Reproducing so white liberals don’t have to?

Since Boehner has promised that there will be no compromise perhaps we will actually start making some headway on reducing the deficit since that would mean that there can be no negotiations on new tax cuts to implement in place of the ones that the Republicans, with Bush, designed to expire this year in order to pay for them. That’s weird, I know but the Republicans actually had to end their own tax cuts in order to pay for their tax cuts because they just could not bring themselves to cut spending on things like the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan or the prescription drug company benefit or the ag bill, etc. Those Republicans were just being so liberal that they had to even borrow money from communist China in order to cover their spending spree. Of course that means that we also get stuck with the interest tab on that borrowed money too. Wow. Wasn’t that generous of those Republicans.

“If you wish to change things then please contact your representative and ask him or her to introduce a Constitutional Amendment”
And it doesn’t even require that. The Electoral College is Constitutional, but how the Electors are apportioned is a States issue. All that would need to be done is for all the states to apportion their Electors by percentage of popular vote in their state, instead of “winner takes all” – no Constitutional amendment needed.

If he weren’t a racist, he would have got up and walked out on any one of Jeremiah Wright’s ignorant, hate-fiiled racist rants that he passes off as “sermons.” But no…not only did he sit there every Sunday year after year and listen to that crap, he freely admits that he considers Wright a mentor. As for 2012 – may depend on the makeup of congress – the only way to currently neuter both agendas is to keep them both neutral – when either gets their way, the car stays in the ditch, just happens to be a different ditch.

True, but neither do they want a far right agenda. Compromise is when both parties (and I emphasize BOTH) meet in the middle … not when one party waits for the other party to come to their side. Both sides of the aisle have a tendency to do the latter much more than the former and unforunately I think it will continue.

for all you “players” out there. let me share something with you, when a bookie says Palin has a 19% chance or Romney has a 27% chance of being the GOP nominee, or becoming POTUS, they are no basing these odds on any statisical data or mathematical formulas. they are setting line to attract bets FROM BOTH SIDES. if more people “bet” Palin will become POTUS, her odds will drop. if less bets come in, the odds will increase. as I noted earlier, check out what Karl Rove has to say about Palin’s chances and note he didn’t offer odds, he simply listed a couple “weaknesses” she would need to address before establishing herself as a front-runner, and in his opinion, her forey into the world of “reality TV” as well as comments about political office present a challenge. of course, he could be a shill for the bookies, but I doubt it

Some senior personalities in the Democratic Party have discussed with President Obama’s advisers the possibility of him not running for re-election in 2012, according to an influential Democratic Party operative speaking on condition of anonymity.
The operative, who is close to the Democratic leadership, did not indicate whether Obama was undecided about running again.
Any such decision would need to be made at a later date based on a number of factors, such as any change in poll numbers after the midterm elections, the operative said.
There are some within the Democratic leadership who believe at this point it would be best for the party if Obama did not seek re-election in 2012, and more than one discussion has been held on the matter with Obama’s top advisers, according to the party operative.

As for 2012, the next 2 big issues on the agenda for Barry and the gang are amnesty and crap and trade – both issues that a majority of Americans are not in favor of. These get implemented, it won’t matter what the other guys do…………

Sestak should have taken the dog poo and “camouflaged” his face with it… that way he could have hidden from his voting record a lot easier.
The equally outlandish retort.

Socialism / Socialism…Definition:
This is for all the D.A. lefties that cannot read a dictionary, or grasp what they have read.
A social system in which the means of producing and distributing goods are owned collectively and political power( government) is exercised by the whole community.
To place under public( government) ownership or control.
To convert or adapt to social needs.
If you are not in some alternative universe this is EXACTLY what Obama and the left IS doing.
