U.S. Rep. John Boehner
John Boehner, who is likely to become the next speaker of the House, went on Sean Hannity’s radio show Wednesday to offer a preview of what to expect:
“This is not a time for compromise, and I can tell you that we will not compromise on our principles,” Boehner said….
As for Obama’s own agenda, Boehner promised, “We’re going to do everything – and I mean everything we can do – to kill it, stop it, slow it down, whatever we can.”
Meanwhile, according to a newly released Bloomberg poll:

Four out of five Americans want compromise. The Republicans don’t dare even entertain compromise. This is playing right to Obama’s strength. He will come across as calm, rational and reasonable. The Republicans will either come across as angry and aggressive, or they will deeply disappoint their own base.
Obama will also have history on his side. As National Journal points out, presidents who lose control of Congress in their first midterms tend to gain a political advantage:
“It’s occurred three times in the past 100 years, and in each case the minority party that took control watched the supposedly vanquished president win reelection just two years later. First, Harry Truman in 1948 (after losing 55 House and 13 Senate seats in 1946); second, Dwight Eisenhower in 1956 (after losing 18 House and two Senate seats in 1954, creating Democratic majorities that would last in the Senate until 1980 and in the House until 1994); and finally, Bill Clinton in 1996 (after losing 54 House and eight Senate seats in 1994).”

If I am Obama why would I want to run? His approval rating over seas is 95%, why continue to fight a bunch of Anti Americans? who have no respect for the office of the President. Countries around the world see what a bunch of bigots, hypocrites we have in this country. Most of these idiots never wanted to work with the Obama from day one, they are to busy listing to high school drop out Rush L, 3 times college drop out Sean Hannity, telling them the President is a Socialist, most of these trailor tea party have no clue what that means.

POTUS: Well, here’s what we’re gonna do. We’re gonna see how well we do in this election and I think a lot of it is gonna depend on whether we still have some support not only from Democrats, but also Republicans, but they’re gonna be paying attention to this election. And if Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, we’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us, if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.

I love my T-bag*ing “Conservatives.” What in God’s name makes you think that all of our problems will go away by voting in as many Repubs as possible. This is politics, Obama did the same to his base during his campaign a couple of years ago and it worked. Obama’s numbers have dropped drastically since then. Why do you think that is? His base and independents feel that he has not done enough. They feel used and betrayed, this will hurt him in the mid-terms because they will not show up to support his party this time around.
So right now we have a bunch of tough guy Repubs claiming they will do everything to STOP THE OBAMA AGENDA. Repeal the HC bill, Permanent Bush tax cuts, etc. And you know what, I can guarantee you that they will do absolutely nothing that is productive to the average American citizen. You (Right wingers) will be p’ed off at the Repubs, Obama will rally his base solely on the failures of the Republicans, all of which will lead to Obama for 4 more years. MARK IT DOWN!!!
The Tea Party is a joke. All of their candidates are running as Republicans, if that doesn’t tell you anything, well then you just will never get it. Your message is very clear; Our thiefs are better than your thiefs.

You may tell yourself that his base fell because he did not do enough. But it’s not the far left that have abandoned him to join conservatives. It’s the liberal conservatives that left realizing this was nothing but a full-scale launch of socialism.

That’s what happens when you take out one bit of an interview and try to make it into something it’s not.
The interview is about comprehension immigration reform, and he’s encouraging Latinos to not think of it in terms of punishing your enemy by not voting, but to vote for the people who support your views of the issues that matter to you.
At least that’s how I interpreted it.

Here’s what will be interesting.
* The dems took control of congress in January 2007 but a large number of their faithful are saying many problems (economy, deficit spending, national debt) were because of W.
* Many dems claim they “haven’t had time” to correct the problem. Four years just wasn’t enough. Of course, the national debt went up by $5 trillion since Pelosi took over and said no more deficit spending.
* If the reps take control of the house (I don’t think they will win the senate), will the loud barking libs be “patient” with them as they attempt to get things sorted out or will they demand results in just two years? You know, if the problems mentioned above are still around then the libs will say it’s all the reps fault.
Remember, many libs feel four years wasn’t enough for them to fix things, but I’m confident they will be unforgiving of the reps if they don’t get the economy, deficit spending and national debt under control in just two years.
Pretty much politics as usual.

Obama will be the obstructionist for the next 2 years…The House and Senate write the laws. They represent the people. Obama only represents his personal radical agenda. So he’ll be the one blocking, not the House/Senate. The House/Senate will let the American people know what they are doing..i.e. repealing the horrid unconstitutional obamacare mess, lowering taxes, getting people back to work. If Obama stand in the way of that agenda…he will continue to go against the American people…and that will be his undoing. Even Clinton knew to move to the middle when he lost the congress in 94….

Why is it that republicans always have to compromise? We have principles just like the democrats do, but you never hear talk of dems compromising. If the republicans win the house and senate, they will do so because the American people have asked them to go to Washington and fix the problems. The dems have gotten us deeper in a hole, why should the republicans jump in there with them? The dems screwed up, and now we are coming to fix it.

Here’s a little refresher for ya. From the WSJ:
“Mr. Obama’s major contribution to deficits has been a record spending spree. In 2007, before the recession, federal expenditures reached $2.73 trillion. By 2009 expenditures had climbed to $3.52 trillion. In 2009 alone, overall federal spending rose 18%, or $536 billion. Throw in a $65 billion reduction in debt service costs due to low interest rates, and the overall spending increase was 22%.
In one year.”

carlosgvv ….I dont see that happening. The American people have waken up and I think although they want the republicans to work with Obama, they do not and I reapeat DO NOT want the Republicans to cave in and turn Obamas way just to get things done. After all, why is it the republicans are going to have the gains? Because the Democrates are getting everything through and giving away our country to the illegal Mexicans, to the 3rd world countries, sending our tax money to fund overseas abortions and creating stimulus spending to fund their friends doing research. None of that stimulus money went to create jobs. If they did, well those are the most expensive and extensively paid jobs in the history of America.
I also see that Obama wont be able to hid in the White House after this either. He will have to answer to the American people as to why is is taking his veto power to all the bills that this congress sends past his desk. The americans ARE NOT STUPID like he wants to think we are. Obama WILL have to answer for his veto’s and the American people are only going to tolerate, (because we are to stupid to spend our own money) only so long. I see if the Congress repeals the healthcare bill and Obama uses veto power, well then Obama is going against the will of the American people who would put Republicans in office to stop things like this. If Obama fights congress on everything, I dont see him getting to the next election. I see him getting impeached as at that point he would be working AGAINST the will of the people and it would be more like hes holding AMERICANS HOSTAGE. This will not happen, not in America.
People, just vote wisely and let the business people we plan to put into office run the govenment like a business because thats what it needs. Remember, business creates jobs, government kills jobs each and every time.

So the president is telling the latinos to vote against “their enemies”, who just happen to be the major party of opposition for that same president.
And if the candidates represented by those “enemies” are conservatives who cast votes for them, what does that then make them? What would you call the supporters of enemies of latinos?
He won’t call a terrorist a terrorist, but he will call a conservative an enemy of latinos.

people have to realize that this is a NATIONAL election and extreme views in the south are not going win the presidency. Obama did carry FL but could have won without FL and Texas. I believe we are going to see another Bush I, Clinton, Perot race where a third party Tea Partier will split the vote.
My prediction, the GOP is going to treat Palin like the GA GOP treated Karen Handel. She is going to actually believe she can win as a third party canidiate and run as an independent/tea party. The GOP will nominate some “newbie”, their version of Obama and go with the whole “change” strategy but with a different word, my prediction is the congressman from VA who will be the House Whip if the GOP gains the house (his name escapes me as will many GOP voters who will flock to “you betcha”. The Dems and the traditional groups blacks, browns, gays, etc. will realize what a mistake it was not to turn out for the 2010 mid-term elections and vote in record numbers again and Obama wins a second term.

As if the White House didn’t have enough to worry about, a recent Gallup poll piled on bad news for President Obama. At the beginning of 2010 the president enjoyed support from 69% of Hispanics. By May that number was down to 57%. Now just 55% of Hispanics support the president and his liberal agenda.
This president seems to think that all that matters to Latinos is immigration reform (about which he’s done nothing). He’s been taking their votes for granted.
There’s a bunch of conservative Latino organizations springing up throughout the country reminding Latinos that they’ve already fled from countries that promote left-wing ideology. They’re talking about social issues too.
Latinos, for the most part, are strong in their faith AND families.

Some critics continue to assert that President George W. Bush’s policies bear little responsibility for the deficits the nation faces over the coming decade — that, instead, the new policies of President Barack Obama and the 111th Congress are to blame. Most recently, a Heritage Foundation paper downplayed the role of Bush-era policies. Nevertheless, the fact remains: Together with the economic downturn, the Bush tax cuts and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq explain virtually the entire deficit over the next ten years.
What was that about the deficit.

Just because you can envision it, doesn’t mean you have a right to have it for free.

The reason “certain individuals” are easily manipulated is because they fail to pick up on Democrat’s nuanced messages.
Took me awhile too. At first I was blind (deaf), but BOY HOWDY….do I see (hear) ‘em now.

I love the fact that the midterm elections of 2010 have not even transpired yet and the weak minded Jay (Socialist) Bookman is already predicating empty suit Onothing winning the White House in 2012. What does he base this own? Lets make a wild guess, oh the Republican far right anti everything party will self destruct and not comprimise on anything! ya right you moron. Go back and look what happended after the 94 massacre the socialist party was handed by Newt and his gang. Mr. Bill (impeached) Clinton had no choice but to accept the rights agenda and he moved not on his own but by brutal politically reality to the right center. Mr Bookman, your a smart liberal socialist person, know do you want empty suit re-elected for a 2nd term or do you want him only as a one term President? Figure it out Jay and next time do your homework before biting your tongue!

Bosch, you obviously dont understand the concept. Why would you refer to the opposing party as “enemies”.? .This just reinforces our argument that he is not willing to be bi-partisian

“Democrats do not compromise and do not want to work issues out “across the party lines”.”
Contrary to the BS that’s been drilled into the empty heads of GOP supporters, the main reason dems and indies are upset with the dems is because they compromised TOO MUCH!!!
They gave away too much on healthcare. They gave away too much on wall srett reform. On and on and on. I still think the undecided voters will realize they cannot hold their nose and vote for a republican.
It ain’t over till the fat politician sings.

“Obama made promises during the campaign that he has not and will not keep”
He’s only been in office for about half his term. You can’t, in all honesty, say he hasn’t kept his promises. The most you can say is that he hasn’t kept them YET.
And unless you have a really, REALLY good crystal ball…you can’t say he “will not” keep them…becuase only HE knows the truth about that. And even IF he intends to keep them all, he still has to get Congress on board. No Congress, no promises filled…no matter how strong his intentions.

So its Ok when, Bush and Clinton go to the Latino community and ask for their vote” Its Ok for Bush to go to white organizations and ask for their vote?
The things you are saying about the President did not surprise the average black person.
The only way the President can get your attention if he was playing football, basketball, a smart African American male has always been a threat to your world.
George Bush destroyed this country and you fake Americans said nothing, but it was ok because he was a idiot and bigot like the tea party movement.
No one can still tell me, where was the love for your country and concern about spending when George W sent trillions of our tax dollars to fund two wars,

Bosch –
In 2009, BHO’s first year, BHO spent $3.5T
In the first year, Bush spent $1.8T, Clinton $1.6T, Ford come in under $1T.
You said you’re not good at math, but hopefully you can see my point.

Who will be the GOP ticket for President and VP. Palin actually “thinks” she can be President, a person who quit her job as Governor during her term. Is this the best our country can do?
hey, if can elect a community organizer as President we can surely elect a former Governor who quit to travel the country. I hope we don’t but, we have done dummer things. Like 2008.
