Back in the late ’70s, scientists began predicting that global temperatures would rise as a result of increased concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Sadly, they continue to be proved right.
Globally, March of 2010 was the hottest March in 131 years of record-keeping.
April was the hottest April on record.
The last four months — January through April — were the hottest January-April period on record.
And the last 12 months constitute the hottest 12-month period on record.
