Obama back on the campaign trail, this time pushing health reform

I can’t recall seeing Barack Obama this animated and forceful since he took the oath of office. This looks like something from the closing days of the ‘08 campaign.

the AM-radio/Fox News crowd’s whining chorus about “shoving it down our throats” is deafening. yeah, this bill has only been in discussions since the late 60’s.

with the help obama has gotten from the right, he shouldn’t shove it down their throats obama, he should shove it up their chutes.

Sounds like Jay’s been holding hands with Chris Mathews as they each get a little thrill run up their leg.

Well, it’s not a thrill, and it’s not running up your leg Bookman; it is Obowo as he drains himself on the American public, starting with his drooling minions in the media.

This alleged “meeting” in St Louis over health care is but another campaign stop.

You know, you’d think by now the Moron In Chief could have figured out, or been told, he won the election in 2008. It is time for him to govern, instead of force feed what he wants, as opposed to what America wants.

What a maroon.

Who is more stupid though – the leader over the precipice, or the idiots that follow him?

Nice to see we’ve moved past blaming Bush. But I think “blame Kennedy, Johnson, Ford, Carter, Reagan, HW Bush, Clinton, Bush” might be a bit of a mouthful.

Obama back on the campaign trail? He never left it.

ISLAMABAD — Pakistani officials reversed course Monday on a recently captured American suspected of being a member of al-Qaida, saying the man is not the terror network’s U.S.-born spokesman, as they initially believed.

The man arrested in the southern city of Karachi was first identified as al-Qaida spokesman Adam Gadahn, the most wanted American in the terrorist network. But authorities later said it was a case of mistaken identity and that they have a different American in custody.–AP

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin — who has gone to great lengths to hype the supposed dangers of a big government takeover of American health care — admitted over the weekend that she used to get her treatment in Canada’s single-payer system.

“We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada,” Palin said in her first Canadian appearance since stepping down as governor of Alaska. “And I think now, isn’t that ironic?”

The irony, one guesses, is that Palin now views Canada’s health care system as revolting: with its government-run administration and ‘death-panel’-like rationing. Clearly, however, she and her family once found it more alluring than, at the very least, the coverage available in rural Alaska. Up to the age of six, Palin lived in a remote town near the closest Canadian city, Whitehorse.

Officials at several hospitals in that area declined to give out information on patient visits.

Just another example of Republican hipocricy. Like ” I voted against the stimulus” but i will pose with the big check from the stimulus.

You may have missed it from downstairs – seems HuffPo or whomever put that out left out a few key poionts – evidently Palin was oh, about six years old when she went to Canada for health care, and it was a few years before Canada even had their single-payer system.

Man, that would make a great book:

The Palin Chronicles, Tales from the far left about Sarah Palin.

What I see as being so funny about liberals that go after Sarah Palin, have they taken a look at the dingbat that is in line for the White House behind Obama and Biden? Nancy Pelosi is two heart beats from being the leader of the free world. If Biden and Obama would get hit, people would be swimming to get out of here. Mexico would be building a fence on their side.

Yawn.

So our fearless leader delivers a “spell-binder” to SEIU brain-dead sycophants who cheer raucously at perfunctory introductions of bottom rung politicians. Is this going to change the minds of Americans who are actually going to have to pay for this travesty?

Nope.

How about those comments from Congressman Massa (lib Dem) today, Jay? Much more provocative and certain to generate a lot of posts.

You’re welcome.

That is scary for sure, but I’ve felt the same way about the past few administrations. None of them made me comfortable when looking at the line of succession. That was one of the reasons I was so happy that Cheney wasn’t out in public too much (although I thought it was like that movie “Dave” and he was in the basement of the White House on life support. But that’s another story for another day).

The only solution that I see for true health care reform is to make the basic health care system non-profit. If people want elective stuff like plastic surgery or something, let them pay for it. I couldn’t see myself trying to make a profit off of someone else’s health. That, to me, seems inhumane.
