Here’s a group that few if any of you have heard of, but if you give it a listen, I think you’ll like it. I first heard them back in the ’70s, when my dad was stationed overseas. The group is called Osibisa, based in London, and you might describe it as a grittier, rootsier version of Earth Wind and Fire. Osibisa had a bit of a cult following back then, and I still listen to their music today.
After wearing out a couple of their LPs, I finally got the chance to hear them play in a small dancehall in Munich, and boy did they bring that place to life!! Who knew those Germans could dance?
(Actually, they couldn’t.)

Well “country” just ain’t the same as it was back in the days of ridin’ the fence and repairin’ damage and roundin’ up strays and such. Everything has been computerized and herds, for example, are monitored via satellite… country has just been urbanized, to say the least. So, it is only natural that country music would undergo similar changes. Modern country music — Urban Country — is more like, well, this, for example, and its followers, upon hearing a sad song, cry in their Merlot while sampling soft cheeses and blogging to brag about the latest taste sensations. Times have changed.

Gloria Allred is a headline-seeking has been. She’s a contradiction within herself.
In an interview she gave to Hannity and Colmes on the Fox News Channel on June 5, 2003, Allred found it useful to her case to emphasize the humanness of Peterson’s baby: ‘And the fact that there are two individuals who are dead there, Laci and Connor, that has to be the most important consideration of everything.’
Connor….the unborn child.

I don’t slow dance with anyone but my husband. That’s the only kind of dancing he does….a rocking motion back and forth….back and forth. He’s a horrible dancer, but
I love him anyway.
Back and forth…back and forth…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Well, that’s who you’re suppose to dance with. Unless you’re some kind of flirt.
