Good. Glad to see it. Even with an acknowledgement that the photos were false, they shouldn’t have been broadcast. (from TPM).
MSNBC anchor Dylan Ratigan apologized this morning for using fake photos of Sarah Palin last Friday in a segment about the former Alaska governor, and for not acknowledging their inauthenticity.
The pictures, which were widely circulated during last year’s presidential campaign, show Palin’s head photoshopped onto other women’s bodies. In one, “Palin” is wearing an American flag bikini and holding a rifle; in the other, the faux Palin is wearing a tight black miniskirt.
“I want to apologize to Gov. Palin and all our viewers. On Friday, in a very misguided attempt to have some fun in advance of Palin’s upcoming book, Going Rogue, our staff mistakenly used some clearly photoshopped images of Ms. Palin without any acknowledgment, and on behalf of the show I would like to say that this was completely unacceptable. We should have never used those photos in the first place,” Ratigan said today. “I apologize.”

MSNBC is characterized by such liberal trash and cheapness. Bookman and his buddies just can’t let it go. Sarah is georgeous, draws huge crowds, courageously speaks the truth, and scares the hell out of liberals.

Let’s compare the scenarios, shall we. One station improves the appearance of Sarah with a photoshopped image that has been circulated since the election and is well known by everyone except possibly Sarah but does nothing more with the image while another station fakes the number of rally attendees with their cut and paste skills and calls it fact, deliberately misleading the public on a more serious matter than mere outward appearance. Then again, Republicans are all about outward appearance. It’s their selling point — like Prejean’s pair.

Faking a crowd? That’s a good technique for propaganda or marketing. People/mobs always want to jump on the bandwagon of whatever is popular. Make the masses believe that “everyone else” thinks something is great and they want to be a part of it. Of course, when a “news” provider does that, it is merely bad journalism.

You are comparing a personal, unwarranted attack on an individual to a 4 second clip on the show of a political pundant. But you have no problem with the personal attack.
It’s no wonder the media gets away with what it does.

HAHAHAHAHA! Classic liberal duck.
Neither the doctored photos (personal smear) nor the crowd misrepresentation (way bad journalism) were even remotely close to the hatchet job masterminded by a very biased Dan Rather. Even when the facts showed he was wrong he proceeded with the piece. I accept that both sides do a poor job of objective journalism, however, you seem to present the “facts” in a way that supports your ideology. Lame, very lame.

Hey, I’ll help you out. I’ll slow it down a little.
Hannity ran a doctored piece about the size of the crowd at a rally in an “off” election year.
Rather ran a hatchet job just weeks prior to an election in an obvious attempt to harm the re-election chances of a sitting President.
Surely a biased liberal homer such as yourself can see the difference, right? Oh, that’s right. Never mind.

So, if the photoshopped image was a personal attack against Sarah, then Hannity’s lie was a personal attack against every single person that he accused of being at a rally that they were not at. Thousands of personal attacks, using your logic.

We get continued bias on every single story.
We get the media having chills down their legs when Obama appears.
We get bills that will change the lives of every single one of us that the lawmakers are not allowed to read before they sign.
We get a President that grovels and apologizes in front foreign leaders.
We get a president that wants to push the takeover of 1/6th of our economy to be pushed through congress as quickly as possible, but so far has taken 4 months to make a decision that would save American lives in Afghanistan.
We get prisoners that were read their rights and not waterboarded to be tried in a military tribunal while the prisoners that were waterboarded will participate in a circus trial 5 blocks from the building where they slaughtered almost 3,000 Americans.
We get most liberals that can’t tell the difference between what Sarah Palin said and what Tina Faye said.
We have Newsweek that decided to run a picture of Sarah Palin that was taken for Runner’s Magizine, so she appears in runner’s shorts but strangely enough, the NOW gang has nothing to say about it.
And you are worried about a misedited 4 second video clip that was shown on a bias pundint’s show.

Well, that settles it. Sarah Palin is OUT.
it’s not like Obama has ever had an article written about him that wasn’t in the best light.
She’s back and you might as well deal with it.
But the real question is, why are liberals so up in arms if she is so “normal”. Why would the best politicians in the world be so intent on discrediting her. And better yet, why are so many liberals now giving mags like “The Nation” so much credibility?
