MSNBC apologizes for showing fake Palin photos

Good. Glad to see it. Even with an acknowledgement that the photos were false, they shouldn’t have been broadcast. (from TPM).

MSNBC anchor Dylan Ratigan apologized this morning for using fake photos of Sarah Palin last Friday in a segment about the former Alaska governor, and for not acknowledging their inauthenticity.

The pictures, which were widely circulated during last year’s presidential campaign, show Palin’s head photoshopped onto other women’s bodies. In one, “Palin” is wearing an American flag bikini and holding a rifle; in the other, the faux Palin is wearing a tight black miniskirt.

“I want to apologize to Gov. Palin and all our viewers. On Friday, in a very misguided attempt to have some fun in advance of Palin’s upcoming book, Going Rogue, our staff mistakenly used some clearly photoshopped images of Ms. Palin without any acknowledgment, and on behalf of the show I would like to say that this was completely unacceptable. We should have never used those photos in the first place,” Ratigan said today. “I apologize.”

Gov Option Blows reminds me of one of those weirdos that thinks that they are a police officer because they were once a security guard at some empty warehouse (sort of like a mall or gated community cop, you know). They study all the right stuff but they never did what it takes to make it to the show. What happened to you dude? You couldn’t make the cut or what? Someone as apparently mentally ill as yourself, with your supposed medical knowledge, should surely know you need psychiatric help. No, that’s self diagnosing by a psychotic who thinks their a physician, that isn’t right either, is it? WAY too confusing.

Hardly.

Please explain how a capitalistic industry such as insurance can compete with a govt entity which is not subject to the same pressures as a private company?

Also, “they’ll find other work”. How compassionate. Can you please tell me where they can get work. Do give specific companies and the staffing levels they will need that these individuals are qualified to fill.

Kill an entire industry such as insurance companies? Try running for political office on that platform.

There was this old fellow over there who was very unhappy about the changes he saw coming. He filled his yard with pink flamingoes to make his point. The neighbors were not very happy and tried to have the city intervene to make him take them down. He claimed he felt by his flamingoes the way he felt by his children. Somebody stole several and he reported it as a “kidnapping.” He was asked if he was going to “replace them.” He said, “what do you mean? You can’t replace your children!”

IF anyone cares, read the article today in the Washington Times on the Rules of Engagement (ROE’s) our soldiers are operating under in the Afghanistan. These rules are imposed by the Obama administration and they are imposed by the government of that country. After reading it, I repeat again:

GET OUT SOLDIERS OUT OF THIS SHITE HOLE OF A COUNTRY. THEY CANNOT EVEN DEFEND THEMSELVES, MUCH LESS WIN WITH THEIR HANDS TIED AND MORE WILL DIE NEEDLESSLY.

This war is going to be looked back upon as one of the most shameful episodes in American history and Bush AND Obama will have to shoulder the blame equally. Neither are (or were) decent leaders.

This is another area where I cross paths with conservatives here. I actually like Hillary. The more Obama and his campaign took cheap shots at her, the more I came to admire her.

I voted for Hillary in the primary in hopes that we would have the choice of an experienced leader in these threatening times.

I didn’t have a lot of confidence in a community organizer to lead a nation. Time will prove I was right to be concerned

I suspect that were Obama to give Hillary more rein, she’d be a much stronger SoS. I’d love to see Hillary go rogue on Obama.

I heard her say in an interview that she’d love to have coffee with Sarah Palin.

To be a fly on the wall should that meeting ever take place. I think you’d see two women with a lot in common. Sarah Palin has more respect for Hillary than her own party did during the campaign.

About Obama’s subservient bowing…..just curious…how much credibility to you give to the study of body language?

I can tell you that it’s pretty accurate in predicting oncoming episodes in children with autism. Children with Downs Syndrome, too.

There’s a reason I ask. I watched a segment on The History Channel that discussed historical staging of national leaders all the way back to FDR. Very interesting. Each country wants THEIR leaders to shine in the public eye. Maintain a powerful image.

Things like never let another leader show you the door (lead you in). Position yourself so that it’s your hand in the foreground when grasping another leader’s.

Here’s the lady who narrated the episode. Scroll down to watch her evaluate Obama’s non-verbal communication technique.

About Obama, she says “”It doesn’t really matter what he’s saying, because his voice tell you what you should be feeling about what he’s saying. The words become irrelevant. You might not even remember the word message after he’s finished speaking, but boy did you FEEL something really, really powerful.”

Funny that she compared him to a Baptist minister. Ewwww, JUST ewwwwww!!! (ISH)

Body language says it all. One of my linguistics professors maintained that the verbal language evolved as a way to lie.

In training for becoming an interpreter this is a central element. You are taught to avoid at all costs the temptation to punctuate your verbal interpretations with body language. It’s really hard to accomplish and is the reason that you will note that the interpreter by protocol stands behind the speakers so as to not distract from the speakers’ body language which “needs no interpreting.”

Our special needs staff holds workshops every year for the mainstream faculty in reading body language.

Sure enough, his mother quickly got up and left to join the other kids.

I discreetly asked our minister if he was autistic. He’d talked with the family several times regarding some financial problems they were having. My husband talked with them too. “Not that I know of” they both said.

Sure ’nuff, turns out the child has autism. I told our minister to let the Mom know that she didn’t have to leave service every time. I’d be more than happy to accompany him to children’s church. He communicates through sign….I’m well-versed in the language.

The most successful thing Obozo has ever done in his entire life is take full advantage of guilty white liberals.

Played them for suckers.

Nothing is Fact,

I don’t want to discredit you. Honest. But, you are to me as GoDD was to Jay. Keep talking. By the way, are you convinced now that I am not GoDD or do you think that perhaps I have simply switched to an unblocked computer. Whiner has multiple computers so maybe I do too. Let’s see, perhaps a test is in order. Ask me a question about bandaids that only a doctor would know.

Palin is looking pretty good. Now that the campaign is over and MOST are seeing what a loser Obama really is, they are taking a second look at Palin.

She is smart and honest and strong, three things that are definitely missing in Washington. Thanks to the now banned “Is Chad” for posting a link to the Oprah interview, I took my first look at some clips from the entire show. Oprah is showing an incredible amount of compassion and fairness in her interview.

Oprah is powerful enough to defy the more common media outlets. Maybe she can start to get a fair shake from now on. . . not on this blog and not from most of the liberals here, but new polls show her with a 76% approval rating among all Americans.

I guess that people (well some people) are finally figuring out that it takes more than a well written speech, a teleprompter and the delivery of a Baptist preacher to lead the most powerful country the world has ever known.

So, are the wingnuts now saying that Obama has autism or Down’s syndrome?

What I’m saying is that body language betrays the subconscious. Children with disabilities have little to no ability to control theirs.

Maybe Obama doesn’t either.

WOW! Thanks for pointing out the comparison. You’ve actually stumbled upon a point to be taken.

Though I haven’t been able to find Jefferson quoted on the subject, I have found several references which say he did establish the custom while in France.

Just an observation and not trying to stir up a stink, but I do find it interesting that the liberal element is in support of the bowing and the conservative not. It would seem given what the terms are based in that it should be the opposite, again invoking Jefferson…

DDR–I will follow your request. Did you get my special song for you Friday?

Jay did not say that he banned Chad. He gave him timeout. Try to keep to facts. It’ll help your credibility. The head bone connected to the spine bone. Andy knows how I feel about the word “tard”. Leftists here have been using it for years. A couple of ‘em even referred to the kids I work with as “tards”. Andy has NEVER done THAT! Just applies it to liberals, he does.

Andy’s just giving it back…..fair and balanced.

Okay, so we can go with that. Obama is Austistic or has Down Syndrome based on @@ ’s interpretation of his body language.

That’s fine with me.
