Mr. Willing, There isn’t anyone on this blog who could “care less about honoring those who have actually lost their lives or the ones they leave behind,” nor the ones who were wounded & their loved ones, not just those from yesterday, but all the ones from the last weeks, months, years & decades.
We all blame the killer.
We all have thoughts about the victims & their loved ones.
We’re all grownups.
We run our mouths because out military risk their lives & limbs every day so that we can.
This is a blog. Even the families left behind find comfort in talking, together.
We’re in 2 wars fighting radical Islamic terrorists for their attacks on America for 22 yrs. Many of us want to just bring our troops home, where they will be safe. Many of us thought America was safe & that the safest place in American was on a huge military base.
Yesterday was a wake-up call. We’re in shock to learn that we have radical Islamic terrorists enlisted in our military, murdering our soldiers on American military bases.
Today was another wake-up call. It’s possible that the slaughter yesterday led to the slaughter today, in an office. That makes more of us at risk.
We must solve this problem together.

P.S. An Army base staffed by thousands of highly trained combat soldiers and not even NCO’s or officers had the ability to defend themselves from a lone terrorist before local police arrived. Times have changed. Sounds like a wake-up call to me.

You are in error. You “really” honor them by making sure it doesn’t happen again instead of just platitudes.

I helped carry my share to the medivacs in Vietnam and I swore then I would never put up with such foolishness again. 58,000+ may I remind you and for what?

Our military now has become so “politically correct” that I’m betting no one had the guts to put this Muslim fanatic in irons before he hurt someone for fear of a CAIR or ACLU lawsuit. Our soldiers in Afghanistan are dying while private Obama diddles !

No …….. I will not be silent !

Someone please tell me why this blog is titled “In honor of the folks at Fort Hood, and soldiers everywhere” while most of you could care less about honoring those who have actually lost their lives or the ones they leave behind….You are all so caught up into your own personal grievances with the President and whoever else you choose to blame without a thought about the victims and their loved ones….Do me a favor take time out, close your eyes and think if this was one of your children, one of your parents, one of your spouses, one of your siblings….Some of you really need to grow up….honestly!!! Like many of the journalist, commentators, and other politicians if you think that you can do a better job at running this country how about running in the next election instead of just running your mouths….May God Bless each one of those who lost their life or lost a loved one my prayers are with you during this very trying time…

I don’t think that having embassies & consulates or even military bases in other countries, invited by their govts, is occupation.

The Islamic terrorists have been attacking Americans since 1979. They have attacked & killed Americans in embassies, consulates, barracks, commercial airlines, airports, restaurants, cruise ships, hotels, a disco, a Navy destroyer, an oil company, tourist sites, a hospital, train station, a cinema & finally our Pentagon. They’ve attacked us in Iran, Lebanon, Spain, the Mediterranean Sea, Italy, Austria, Greece, Germany, Scotland, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Tanzania, Yemen, Pakistan, Jordan, Syria, Algeria, Iraq, Afghanistan, India, & the US.
Their attacks are not limited to American soldiers & our govt personnel. They enjoy killing tourists, especially women & children. They kill themselves.
The attacks are not isolated in just the Middle East. Radical Islamic terrorists are on almost every continent, on our soil in our neighborhoods.
We ALL knew they wanted to bomb the World Trade Center, because they had ALREADY tried, in ‘93.
The Islamic terrorists don’t stop at inviting a friend to church. They are compelled to kill non-believers.
They don’t just tell women they look nice in long dresses. They stone them.
They don’t just take the car away from their teenagers. They run over & murder them.
They aren’t mad at us for anything we DID to them. They hate us for WHO we are!!!
There is absolutely NOTHING we can do to appease them.
The only thing worse than appeasement was to ignore their attacks for 22 years.
Based on these facts, what would any of you do to curb the Islamic terrorist attacks on Americans?

Let the CYA process begin, BO – you are cautioning Americans not to jump to any conclusions about the shootings and killings at Ft. Hood. Are you afraid that we’ll think this is an example of extremist Islamic uprisings here in the USA? Your appeasement of the Islamic world is coming home to roost, and you wasted no time at all making sure we did not add 2 plus 2 to get 4 – how obtuse can you get? You lay the USA out there for the world to see that we are vulnerable, and you must take responsibility for any actions this appeasement causes. Shame on you, and shame on everyone that voted for you, knowing full well that you had no experience. Now we know what you are made of – we are truly judged by the company we keep – Rev. Wright, Prof. Ayers, ACORN, etc.

Linda, you have a good point, but I think they really hate us because we’re occupying their lands and prior to that, were always meddling in their affairs. If we weren’t a presence in the middle east, I don’t think they’d much bother to think of what you and I are doing over here. BUT… I love it when folks tell me our soldiers are dying over there so no one will force US to wear a Burqua over here. “Whaaa? AMERICAN women? You’ve MET us right? Heh… Serena Williams will shove a tennis ball down their f-ing throat if they try that sh–!” WE are not subjugated to anyone, no matter how hard Billy Bob & ‘nem try. We will be free despite efforts abroad OR at home to shame or guilt us into the narrow frame of behavior that frightens “conservative” men.
