BTW. Yes, Ms. Carpenter was an incredible talent. You know that she actually thought of herself as a drummer who sang and people like Buddy Rich praised her talent as a drummer.

But that voice is pure silk. And remember, NOTHING she did was ever recorded on anything but those old noisy analogue tape recorders. Nora Jones is my number 4, just because she has that same richness, but not even close to Karen.

You know, I completely overlooked that snicker, snicker thread. I don’t get into that stuff. I’m just waiting for Jay to give Bootsy Collins or George Clinton a lil shout out. I’d even settle for some James Brown. I’ve been funkin’ it up all week.

If you can believe me, I have memories back to 3yrs old. That was when I learned to read, and I would just have a field day reading the newspaper and stuff. I actually did my first novel, “Christine” at 5.

**Parental Advisory Alert: I would strongly recommend that you not let your 5yr old read Christine or any other books by Stephen King.

I was an Elton fan in college and still respect that amazing talent, but he didn’t have that lasting power that some had. But still good music.
