Those numbers came from the CDC, which admitted the manufacturing processes are taking longer than they that they were. Anybody who knows anything about manufacturing knows that one process taking longer than normal (like growing the virus) is going to disrupt the process.

It’s just SO sad to see someone losing faith in their Messiah. Maybe you didn’t pray hard enough.

What! What! What'd I do! What!

October 25th, 2009

Why, it may be unethical for the state of Georgia to accept an abundance of flu vaccines with the knowledge that such an acceptance may restrict another person’s access to said vaccine. Of course, if said vaccines are each worth less than $25, then who cares who receives them.

NEW YORK (CNN)– Controversial freshman Rep. Alan Grayson, who has become famous for attacking the Republicans’ health care plan, went on the attack again Friday night, calling former Vice President Dick Cheney a vampire for his recent criticism of the Obama administration’s handling of the war in Afghanistan.

“I have trouble listening to what [Cheney] says sometimes because of the blood that drips from his teeth while he’s talking,” the Florida Democrat said on MSNBC’s Hardball Friday night. “But my response is this: he’s just angry because the president doesn’t shoot old men in the face. But by the way, when he was done speaking, did he just then turn into a bat and fly away?”

Roubini: I don’t believe in market discipline. It doesn’t work. That was the ideology of the last 10 years; self-regulation means no regulation. Market discipline doesn’t exist with irrational exuberance and reliance on internal risk management models that don’t work. Nobody listens to risk managers, because it’s risk takers that make the profits. The reliance on ratings agencies that have their own conflicts of interest, the reliance on soft-touch regulation, the focus on principles instead of rules—that particular regulatory philosophy has been a disaster, and we’ve learned it the hard way. We have to go to simpler rules, tougher rules and more binding rules. That’s the right approach.

RW–no doubt it will be! Glad I got to see it. Going serious here for a minute, but I stay into it on “both sides of the aisle” because on the one hand I refuse to be a victim due to any number of my “labels,” p*ssing off the liberals, and on the other won’t “forget all that,” p*ssing off their c*nfederates on the right.

As an example, I got pulled on the carpet here for postulating that the reason so many liberals were taking such a vicious anti-Israeli stance was because the Jews there had refused to rely on the outside world ever so “sympathetic” to the victims of anti-Semitism, but then once the “victim” refused to play the role, turned on them with a vengeance. The same could be said for gays who dared to not cringe in fear and self-loathing and dared to get up, build relationships and take matters into our own hands–i.e. how dare we not be grateful for Ima Gonna’s promises and feel good rhetoric.

A lot of folks get mad when I as an unashamed and unabashed liberal make the point that when it comes to “change,” I’ve seen far more of it from the conservative elements. The pro-Israeli stance so many take is the result of an admiration for the self-reliance of a group of people who refused to be type cast as “helpless.” When I mention D*ckhead Cheney’s support of gay rights, I get a the party line memo of him “only” doing it when “his own” came out. So? His was a 180 degree change which is, in the long run, a lot more than the wiffle-waffle of those who are supposed to be more enlightened…

So long as the “oppressed” minority, whatever the minority, buys into the “you poor thing” mentality, they will remain oppressed. While I do not want to appear ungrateful for the support from “others,” only when “they” come to realize that it is not their sympathy and charity I want, but to be left alone to be an equal.

josef,

I’ve told the story here before but one of the main reasons I’m a conservative stems from seeing a gas station when I was 6 years old that had three bathrooms. Men, women, and colored and it hit me as horribly wrong. As time went on I realized that conservatives were far more willing to accept everyone as equals, but that also meant the “group” seeking equal treatment also had to be willing to live with the downside of equality while it seemed that most liberals wanted to keep a victim class around that they could service from time to time but keep them in enough of a struggle to stay on the proverbial plantation.

Look around voters (Sorry, not you Meg Whitman), to be a Republican these days is to be more confused, depressed and paranoid than an awkward teenager on Lithium.

Seeing bogeymen hiding everywhere. Murdering Michigan Mooslims, job-stealing Mexicalis, ungodly Sodomites and the always shiftless, looking for a handout Those People.

Even in blogdom they see strange multi-named apparitions. And obsess over such minutiae while their so-called leaders aided and abetted in the attempted bankrupting of a entire nation and who got tens of thousands criminally killed and maimed to clear the Chosen One’s family name.

The funniest aspect of this bewilderment is how they desperately cling to that hijacked, now laughably meaningless term “conservative”.

As though that holy idiom will somehow magically visit upon them the safety and purity of Ronnie of Nazareth and shield them against all forms of self-created delusions, deadly ineptitude and unabashed depravity and destructiveness.

Yet they cannot even begin to adequately describe or define it. Much less explain their now repudiated BushCo-loving take on it.

So go ahead conned, talk among yourselves and justify this corrupt “conservative” legacy.

The Consumer Financial Protection Agency bill, HR 3621, was passed by the Barney Frank’s House Financial Services Committee. On Friday, and unfortunately it was watered down exempting all kinds of businesses.

A number of financial businesses were exempted: car dealers, insurance companies, and retail credit, like department store installment sales contracts. Another amendment limits the inspection of community banks.

It does nothing to stop predatory lending whose laws in states are weak.

It remains to be seen how banks’ ability to raise credit card rates anytime without notice or enrollment in overdraft protection that has rates raised without notice will be impacted.

Rancid human beings all, UN freaks, probably here to scope out some new blood in their little girl rape industry.

And the worst part, Obozo will bow before them.
