Is the left in this country COMPLETELY INSANE. Sure the Dow has passed 10,000 and our entire economy would also already have recovered were it not for government intervention into the private sector (some of it under Bush). Just compare the economic performance of the countries that did not do a "stimulus" plan.

In the meantime,

-The dollar is quickly fading into irrelevancy (along our economy with it) and this administration does NOTHING about it.

-Odumma is naively disarming our national defense and empowering our enemies.

-We have more long-term debt than there is wealth in the ENTIRE WORLD while the idiots in power are proposing more spending by the trillions.

This country will regret elected this closet communist simpleton, including many of his mindless worshipers.

Things are looking up. Its still going to take a long time before the country is back on its feet, but slow change is better than the hell we went though the last 8 years. I like the moves Obama is making trying to fix America and it looks like things are slowly coming together. Republicans will do everything in their power to make sure Obama fails but like i've said things take time and I have full faith we back to the better times in the Clinton era.

Pat

As I said this is not a dem or rep issue. Don't forget that the bailout took place under Bush's watch. Although both parties are responsible for the onging efforts to deregulate including minimal oversight and/or controls. Let's stop fighting each other and playing the blame game.

Washington's private campaign funding needs to end if the American people ever want their voices heard.

Ok so riddle me this libs. You are angry at wall street and all the big firms and banks, right? They caused this mess, right? Then why in the HELL did you support bailing them out and feeding them billions and billions of tax dollars, in the form of the “stimulus”? You do realize they have been the biggest beneficiaries.
They should NOT have been bailed out. They should have been forced to declare bankruptcy and get split up and sold off. That’s what should have happened. All the money from the sales of the parts of these corps. Could then be used to pay off the debts they caused. But, no….Can’t let them fail, why not?

If you are angry at the likes of AIG, Goldman Sachs, Citibank, etc. Then you should be plenty pissed of at this administration and this congress.

Was the stimulus a bad thing? In concept, no. But in reality it had to major flaws, it was to big, and the money went to the criminals who cause the problems in the first place….They were rewarded for being imbeciles.
The new name for the stimulus should be, the "Please don’t reposes my Bentley" bill. Because all the A-holes you lot are mad at, got to keep them thanks to obama. They love him.

The dollar is de-valued big time. Foreigners are picking up our stocks cheaply. The ten thousand mark is an illusion.

If you're buying foreign goods. What if they're buying ours? The dollar is fine. It has been much lower in the past, and will be in the future. Speculators speculate.

The Fed needs to raise interest rates now that the market is improving. That will help the value of the declining dollar. Although, it will also negatively impact the sour housing market.

Anyone see Goldman's outstanding quarterly results? Who would have thought that they would do so well now that major competitors BS and LB collapsed. Isn't capitalism great!? Although, they had their greedy little hands in Washington's back pockets all along and knew exactly how to fool them and the American people. Who had the most to benefit from the AIG bailout? You guessed it...our GODS at Goldman.

This is not a Democratic or Republican issue. They played everyone! When are we going to stand up and say enough is enough?
