You make a good point, but I thought he handled it tactfully and with humility. He wouldn't want to upset the committee in case he ever deserves one, and I predict he will.

I think Morgan Tsvangira that was nominated deserved to be acknowledged. He has been beaten up, jailed, cheated twice out of a democratic election his party has won. His party supporters have been killed; their backs broken in torture camps, yet the man goes to election after election hoping that he will get a free and fair election. Meanwhile the world does nothing to the tyranny of Robert Mugabe. Perhaps Mr. Obama can now take decisive action in Zimbabwe and bring peace and normality to that country and its economy with a billion % inflation and 90% unemployment.

The world is looking for a one world leader. This scares me! I do not want the US to lose control to world leaders and influence. I hope the progressive liberals lose out.

The best think Obama could have done with respect to the Nobel Prize is to refuse to accept it. It was so obvious a political statement by the NObel committee that had very, very little to do with Obama's accomplishments to date as of Feb(when nominations were done). Had he done so, thereby repudiating Europe's slap at Bush, he'd finally have earned some of my respect for his character. By accepting, he's just another liberal, Hollywood-styled "me, me, me" elitist.

I would guess it amounts to hundreds of billions, if not a trillion. The IRS is going to have to beef up its compliance division in order to close the budget gap. And the INS needs to add employees as well. Throw in the FAA and Justice, and Obama could put some of the unemployed back to work.

Sometimes, justice is dispensed in the most unlikely of forms.

Gelding, that's not really the point.

I am no blog nanny. Almost never do I ride people's arses for misspellings, atrocious grammar, etc. Hell, I make the same mistakes myself from time to time. No big deal.

But we all know there is deplorable amount of fourth grade English on display here. Every day.

This dumbing down of America is irrefutable. And is evidenced by the type of writing I exposed. Pedantic, puerile and misplaced.

Frankly, as was that third party "defense".

The welchers of the world absolutely loathe academia and education. They abhor science and its inconvenient findings. They have "concluded" it is all a giant liberal conspiracy and are are a BIG, BIG part of the problem in this country.

As they fight their never-ending Scopes Monkey Trial.

So make no mistake about it, these people are NOT examples of some well-intentioned salt of the earth types.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGO-YrfLsPQ

But the worst part is that the "sheep" then elect like-minded and obvious mental midgets, who screw up every damn thing they touch for eight straight years!

Clarence Darrow said it best 84 years ago, "We have the purpose of preventing bigots and ignoramuses from controlling the education of the United States."

OK, duty calls. Off to pay for more corporate welfare aka the military industrial complex and to keep the plutocrats nice and comfy...
