Brown’s book appears meticulously researched, calculated to tick off a couple of groups and gets off to a fast start. I saw it in a grocery store for 40 percent off, so that’s about the same as taking the kids for a happy meal or the afternoon cinema. When I consider the hours of enjoyment I get from a book, compared to what other stuff costs for a bit of time, books seem like good value for the money.

Thanks for the posts attributing Palin’s number one or two book position to wholesale (bulk) orders; however, one list was Amazon, other was Barnes and Noble. Didn’t see anything how B&N calculates, but this from Amazon:

“Lists from Amazon.com, the dominant on-line book retailer, are based only on sales from their own Web site, and are updated on an hourly basis. Wholesale sales figures are not factored into Amazon’s calculations.”

So it looks like Palin’s book is driven by the same factors that drove sales of Sen Kennedy’s last book – people ordering it.

Some may not understand why, but both Palin and Kennedy seem to be popular amongst many in the heartland and not popular with many of the pundits.

About the Kevin Jennings business--While I'm hoping this isn't put to the test, I will say that if the Administration decides to throw the guy under the bus for political expediency and hand the likes of the Family Resource Center a victory, I'm going to have to think maybe Jo-Nix has more than just a point with all his "Fierce Advocate" bile he's tossed in here the past few months.
