Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity etc. really are preaching to the choir. A choir mind you that lost the last election to a black and still can't get over that. Since then these guys have done very little to open up the tent that's going to be needed to get a Republican elected president.

I've been reading more in the WSJ, Politico, NY Times, Huff Post, and even Dutch papers on this 2016 Olympic selection and the finger pointing is all over the place. For example, some (bloggers, not necessarily the sites themselves) blame Bush for snubbing the OIC by not attending the 2007 selection of the final four (which I don't subscribe to), others blame the USOC for replacing heads of the sports performance group, the marketing group, the human resources group with inexperienced personnel at salary increases of as much as 30% (while laying off 54 USOC employees). Still others are claiming that the United States's tradition of the government NOT guaranteeing to pay for the games (as all the others bidders did) worried the committee.

What is interesting is that the Dutch papers are unfavorably comparing the short Obama speech with the 5 days that Tony Blair put in lobbying the IOC to get the London games, claiming the IOC felt like they were reduced to spectator status during his visit.

Soooo, does this mean that the gleeful cheerleaders are on the side of those who think that federal funds should have used to to guarantee the games AND on the side of those who think our head of state should have taken nearly a week off kiss the IOC's Olympic size arses?

Like I said before, you rightwingers are funny!

You celebrating their anniversary, too?

I can figure out most of what motivates our Whiner, but his unbridled hatred for the First Lady (and the mother of two perfectly swell young kids) is, frankly, a bit of a puzzlement to me.

I mean, that sort of nastiness hurled at Laura Bush would get you shunned by most lefties at the DFH blogs I've frequented over the past eight years, is all I'm sayin'.
