‘I saw a man who danced with his wife!’

I think Chicago sent the wrong ambassador to the IOC.  They should have sent Frank, or at least this video, with Frank in the background singing the merits of  “that toddlin’ town.”

A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I went to see “Come Fly With Me,” a dance musical at the Alliance featuring the choreography of the famed Twyla Tharp, the recorded vocals of Frank and the accompaniment of a live “big band” that really kicked it.

I’m not generally a big dance aficionado, but I do love Sinatra’s work, at least the stuff that they didn’t try to drown in treacly strings.   The band at the Alliance was powered by a great horn section, the dancers were generally phenomenal, and all in all the concept works surprisingly well.  It plays the Alliance until Oct. 11, with hopes that it will eventually make it to Broadway.

Given the highly laudatory reviews of the show, I’d bet it makes it.

I just read that Elizabeth Edwards is filing for divorce from John Edwards.

Guess that’s a man you won’t see dancing with his wife any more.

Yes, Midori, that is sad in so many ways. Maybe Elizabeth Edwards should have learned a few survival skills from Hillary.

Paul,

I am NOT going to rest until you acknowledge that I did not say that flag burning should be outlawed by an amendment to the Constitution! Say it, or rather write it, or I’ll hound you until you do!!!

Or, I might challenge you to a duel – with light sabers!!!

Better get your order in early

Forty-eight days before the release and she’s already topped Dan Brown’s latest conspiracy-theory casserole at both top retailers. To put that in perspective, note that the book doesn’t even have a cover yet. So much for the Page Six hit piece about demand for her being slack.

So when the National Enquirer reported that John Edwards was running around on Elizabeth they were a shady super market tabloid, but now that they rumor a divorce it’s news?

geez….

But let’s hope they’re right about this too and she gets a great lawyer to clean John out. As an added touch it would be nice if her lawyer could channel a few voices to get a few extra mill tacked on.

Young Paduan, your courage is to be admired, but your recklessness needs to be controlled. Ask without threat or insult and you may see success. Continue on your present course and a blogger you shall remain.

I acknowledge you did not say flag burning should be prohibited by a Constitutional amendment.

Reminds me of that guy who hosted the Gong Show. There’d be a typically bad act and he’d say how fun it was and how much he liked it, then he’d say “But what do I know? I like jock itch.”
