Swim is right, all this rain coming down-

But a limited water supply is not something we’ve been forced to think about, especially in greener areas of the United States, like Georgia. We believe drought is cyclical.

Many climatologists have warned, however, that one consequence of global warming is more frequent and more severe droughts. Maybe we should learn to live with fewer golf courses and swimming pools, with lawns that demand less pampering and cars that still look just fine with less washing.

We ought to set an example of conservation in a world with an expanding population and limited resources. Already, scientists predict that wars in the near future will be waged over water. Instead of modeling excess, perhaps the United States can be a model of temperance, of living within nature’s bounds.-Cynthia Tucker, Urinal 2007

Aahhh, yes, so even the Urinal admits it was an ignorant mistake-

Russia scraps missile plans, Decision follows move by U.S. to dump shield.-Urinal!

Screaming, top of the page headline^^.

Second paragraph of the story-

Neither move, however, represented ceding any signiffcant ground. A plan to place Iskander missiles close to the Polish border was merely a threat. And while the Kremlin has previously criticized Tehran for questioning the reality of the Holocaust, Russian leaders have refused to back a Western push for tougher sanctions against Iran.

Yes, Obozo got nothing for his little betrayal of Eastern Europe.

By the way, how dangerous to our National Security is that^^?

Obozo gives away a key component of our defensive measures and the stooges at the Urinal make up something he got in return and the strike up the parades.

What will the state run media present as a “concession” from Obozo’s negotiations with Iran that allow the whackjobs to build “peaceful” nuclear weapons?

A promise not to kill all the Jews?

Will Obozo be cited as a hero, even as the murderers sight their weapons on Israel?

Nasty Pelosi slinks up to the national podium, shrieks in horror about the national discourse, bursts out in crocodile tears over the incivility of it all, and this led Queen Pinko to proclaim-

Conservatives are fuming (surprise, surprise) about Nancy Pelosi’s warning, but she was absolutely right. Threatening and hateful rhetoric can lead to violence.-Urinal

So check out the very next paragraph from the very next Tuck Monster manifesto-

WASHINGTON — Cheers for Sen. Max Baucus, the Montana Democrat who spent months keeping his “Gang of Six” together, negotiating with Republican senators over health care reform, no matter how insincere, cowardly or irritating they were.-Urinal

Gas isn’t being used? Down a whopping 3%. The price had nothing to do with supply and demand and everything to do with speculative greed. I imagine you still paid too much and will get little, if anything. The tires will probably rot off before you can sell them. The wealthy have become even more tight-fisted than the middle income.

“Global oil demand is revised up nearly 0.5 mb/d for both 2009 and 2010, to 84.4 mb/d and 85.7 mb/d respectively, mostly on stronger-than-expected data in OECD North America and non-OECD Asia. The global economy is stabilising, but OECD demand is poised to remain weak for the remainder of this year, while seemingly strong non-OECD demand may be obscured by Chinese stock building.”

That must be one helluva church you go to WHITE welcher. You always seems even more enraged on Sunday mornings. All you need to calm yourself down is a good old fashioned witch burning.

After reviewing how much cruelty Christians have used to establish their religion, or even force it on others in all parts of the world, is there much wonder why some people like Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826) observed, “Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined, imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards humanity. What has been the effect of coercion?” Or why the Irish author Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) commented, “When I think of all the harm the Bible has done, I despair of ever writing anything to equal it.” Even Mahatma Gandhi wrote in his autobiography, The Story of My Experiments with Truth: “I had started disliking Christianity. This was not without any reason. Those days Christian missionaries used to stand in a corner near the High School in Rajkot and used disgraceful words against the Hindus and their Gods/Goddesses. I could not bear this.”

Frank Rich:

With all due respect to Jimmy Carter, the racist component of Obama-hatred has been undeniable since the summer of 2008, when Sarah Palin rallied all-white mobs to the defense of the “real America.” Joe Wilson may or may not be in that camp, but, either way, that’s not the news. As we watched and rewatched the South Carolina congressman’s star turn, what grabbed us was the act itself.

What made the lone, piercing cry of “You lie!” shocking was that it breached a previously secure barrier. It was the first time that the violent rage surging in town-hall meetings all summer blasted into the same room as the president. Wilson’s televised shout was tantamount to yelling “Fire!” in a crowded theater. When he later explained that his behavior was “spontaneous” rather than premeditated, that was even more disturbing. It’s not good for the country that a lawmaker can’t control his anger at Barack Obama. It gives permission to crazy people.

While this may not be clear and convincing evidence, there was stone faced impassivity on the faces of everyone around him. ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis appeared on FOX today trying to defend her organization and it’s track record. She never answered a question directly, has now changed her demand for an investigation of the two that did the film to a thank you to them for exposing “certain elements” of ACORN to scrutiny. ACORN is running out of whistles for the whistle blowers, rats jumping off the ship. She dodged questions regarding the Wyatt defraud incident in which one of founders defrauded the organization of neary a BILLION dollars and the organization didn’t press charges and covered up the incident to “not tarnish ACORN’s image.” This lady ought to be in jail. This is hurting Bozo’s credibility, since he accepted so much money from the organization during his campaign. When asked by George Stepanololis (sp) in an interview today about ACORN funding and his participation in the organization, he replied that he had more important things pressing him now and dismissed this whole thing as an issue that was, apparently, not important to him.
News flash, Bozo…… it is important to the electorate and it’s things like this that will sink your health care plan and much of anything else you propose because of lack of TRUST. Your numbers will drop even further, you will be exposed for what you are, an opportunistic, hollow,empty suit with an agenda that is unacceptable to the American people. As I frequently point out, but reading is hard for Repubozos, Harvard and Radcliff did a huge study on ACORN over its history and found zero election violations.

I delight in pointing out that Repubozos tried to foreclose on the vote to decrease Democratic votes in 27 states, and after ending up in federal court they lost every last case including Georgia where the Secretary of State was so stupid, it took the Attorney General months to convince her that the courts ruled against her and she had to stop her whackjob totally wrong data base that had disenfranchised about 5000 legal voters, most of them white people like Handel, born and bred in Georgia (Handel was of course, not) and the list threatened to disqualify 50,000 legal citizens.

I watched a morning of the 3 judge panel and sat close enough to Handel to hear every question she asked and she was totally clueless as to what was going on in the courtroom and way out of her league. DOJ sent down 3 people to beat up on Handel and this was before Obama had been elected. This was Bush DOJ Civil Rights Division.

Repubozos never back up their claims, but all briefs and opinions in the 27 cases we creamed Repubozos on in federal court are here:

ACORN’s publicity and the rapid whackjob right’s obsession with it is going to do zero to stop health reform and a vibrant public option, and how many times do you want to go on record proclaiming things that just aren’t about to happen. Were you proclaiming VP Palin as well along with Jim Wooten in 9/08? How’d that workout?

I don’t know if you understand this but Friday there were 543 amendments added to Baucus’ bill, and Baucus who was the darling of the insurance/pharm companies for months, is now being seen as thhooker who took their money and squealed out of the motel parking lot along with the rest of the Senate Finance Six.

Here’s a cartoon just for Kaymaker that represents Repubozos and Blue Dogs in Congress who can’t deliver to their johns:

http://www.charlotteobserver.com/kevinsiers/story/951890.html

While two repubozos posed as hooker pimp for a video, hundreds of them in Congress are playing hookers to insurance company and pharmaceutical johns, and all of a sudden they can’t deliver.

Keep on thinking that health care reform is sunk–I’m going to have a lot of fun watching you the next 3 months get an education as to how a bill becomes a law.

To be sure, Bertha Edwards is not a polished PR maven, and she could have had her ducks in a row better, but she and almost anyone in that organization isn’t that well paid. She could have had a polished checklist of ACORN reforms. She’s hardly an Ed Gillespie, aorms Harvard trained lawyer at one of the highest priced DC law firms in the country, and a Washington veteran of PR who was on ABC This Week.

But I’d also note this. While Repubs huff and puff about ACORN as the “big bad wolf”, they are never able to document the wide spread illegality or abuses they claim stem from ACORN.

I’d love to see you document anything but a couple anecdotal reports. I’d love to see you document wide spread cases of election tampering, or other lawbreaking by ACORN.

In a lot of Southern states, like this one, they have one or no paid volunteers who do their work. They are true grass roots activists, and they aren’t in it for the money–like Freedom Works for example that pays Dick Armey about a million bucks per year.

And I know there is a lot of giddyup giddyup venom and glee about the ACORN pimp video right out of Saturday Night Live where two idiots were stung giving advice on pimping and whoring and tax avoidance. However, ACORN is not your enemy.

When I was doing residency, they sent vans everyday to get people to and from clinics who could hardly walk secondary to osteoperosis and arthritis, ecct. and they fill a lot of societal gaps in helping people who aren’t well educated fight back–poor people getting stepped on by slumlords, etc.

The right has also not been able to document those big bad wolf election stories, although I know you have to have some scapegoat for the election losses that keep piling up.

I agree…except that I don’t believe it was, as you put it, “spontaneous” – I think it was calculated and deliberate.”

Doggone, I agree. The photograph that captured the moment is just too perfect. It’s not pulled from the video feed after the moment, it was snapped at precisely the exact moment he shouted his one-second heckle. With more than 600 people in that chamber, what a coincidence that a news camera was taking his picture. From http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/the-scientific-fundamentalist/200909/who-took-the-picture-joe-wilson-and-how:

The picture in question has been variously credited to “Getty Images,” “AFP” (Agence France-Presse) or “Chip Somodevilla.” None of them are local press in South Carolina, which might have had a reason to pay particular attention to their local Congressman during the speech.

This guy was totally executing his fall fundraising strategy.

Wonder why Bush did not deploy those missiles in eastern Europe? He announced the plan in 2001 but when he left office in Jan 2009 the missiles still were not deployed. And I seem to recall that the target date for deployment was 2017.

If I have this wrong please let me know.

My bad. In my 12:40 I said as I recalled deployment of the Bush East European missile system was 2017. Looked it up, 2018.

“Phase Three (in the 2018 timeframe) – After development and testing are complete, deploy the more advanced SM-3 Block IIA variant currently under development, to counter short-, medium-, and intermediate-range missile threats…”

The Bush Phase One & Two is what the Obama administration says they.

OK, you Tweedledums and Tweedledees who live on this blog.

We need something new. Recite a new poem such as the old ALICE one ,”The time has come the walrus said ‘to talk of many things. Of shoes–and ships–and sealing wax—Of cabbages and kings’.”.

No insults. No dirty words. No name calling. Come on. You can do it.

But don’t forget the warning from the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam
The moving finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.

Yes, indeed.

I ask this as someone who had “Golf” as one of his P.E. credits for his Bachelor’s degree, but isn’t “Golf” really just “Human Fetch”? Hit the ball, fetch, hit the ball, fetch, lather, rinse, repeat until the ball’s in the hole, then meta-lather, meta-rinse 17 more times?

The White House has not ordered Paterson to leave the race and would not do so, the official continued, saying only the governor can make the decision about what’s right for him, the party and the state. But Obama’s concern of losing the governor’s office in such a key state has been communicated to Paterson and his advisers, the White Office official said.

That would pave the way for the far more popular Andrew Cuomo, the state’s first-term attorney general.

So where do We The People fit into all of this democrat conniving?

A Chief Organizer is someone like Dick Armey for Freedom Works or Faux News for the astroturfed March on DC. Armey makes a millon bucks from Freedom Works which he needs because he was fired from his lawfirm lobbying job 3 weeks ago.

No suprise Reubozos spend all their time on ACORN because two people got punked who were idiots. Actually though, that pimp coat and the hooker outfit was a great metaphor for Repubozo Losers like Grandma Grassley who are big time hookers for insurance companies and pharmacies who have not delivered their tricks to their johns since the Baucus bill is about to be totally sacked. If it gets out of his own committee, the hooker Baucus won’t recognize his bill.

This cartoon does a great job of characterizing Repubozotard Hookers:

September 18, 2009 — Physicians voice their views on a new public insurance option and Medicare expansion in a Perspective reported online September 14 in the New England Journal of Medicine.

“In the past few months, a key point of contention in the health care reform debate has been whether a public health insurance option should be included in the final legislation,” write Salomeh Keyhani, MD, MPH, and Alex Federman, MD, MPH, from the James J. Peters Veterans Administration Medical Center, Bronx, New York. “Although polls have shown that 52 to 69% of America support such an option, the views of physicians are unclear. Physicians are critical stakeholders in health care reform and have been influential in shaping health policy throughout the history of organized medicine in the United States.”

Of 4936 surviving physicians with correct and complete address information, 2130 (43.2%) responded to the survey.

Public and private options were supported by 62.9% of physicians, whereas 27.3% supported private options only. Across all demographic subgroups, specialties, practice locations, and practice types, 57.4% or more supported inclusion of a public option. A public option was most favored by primary care providers (65.2%) and least likely to be supported by physicians in specialties with less regular direct patient contact (57.4%). Only 59.7% of practice owners supported a public option compared with 67.1% of nonowners (P < .001). Among American Medical Association members, 62.2% supported a public option.

More than half (58.3%) of respondents in all 4 specialty groups (primary care physicians; medical subspecialists, neurologists, and psychiatrists; surgical specialists and subspecialists; and other specialties) supported an expansion of Medicare to Americans aged 55 to 64 years.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
proof please (to coin a phrase). there has been nothing from the republicans in way shape or form of any counter proposal to current plans (still no final bill by the way) making their way around congress.
The ignorance of the leftists on this blog boggles the mind. One wonders how they can even push the buttons on their keyboards.
Congressional Republicans have offered five comprehensive health care reform proposals so far, and one bipartisan Senate proposal. Senator Tom Coburn (R-Oklahoma) and I introduced the Patients’ Choice Act, a bill that would rewrite the tax code so every American would receive an upfront, refundable tax credit to purchase health insurance.
Cue the attacks on the source……
