oh, and … WOLVERINES!!! I can't remember if I ever pointed you this way, but just in case... the late/great Maron v. Seder experiment on Air America (canceled this summer, alas) had a running riff On the Origin of Talking Points; they'd take you deep within the heart of the RNC, where it turns out these memes actually arose from an animated Red Dawn poster. (Well, you kinda have to see it to get it...)

if you wait long enough, I’m sure TNT will play it … it’s sooooo bad, it comes full circle to sublime. never have I seen so many bad movie cliches in one movie:

- the bad guy is in love with the virtuous heroine, but she wants nothing to do with him
- the bad guy’s current girlfriend is a strumpet
- stupid southern rednecks
- stupid southern rednecks driving a monster truck
- the grizzled old man who is wise and helps the hero (and who the hero feels he needs to protect)

oh. the badness.
