How many people are allowed to carry guns within range of the President? Sounds like your emailer is as brainwashed as your dittoheads here.

Yes the Republican solution to problems is almost always to punish the innocent. I cannot go into a drug store to buy sudafed without spending five minutes filling out a form, because a handful of people abuse the stuff to make illegal drugs. The Republican solution, inconvenience everyone because of the actions of a few.

ATLANTA — The wheels of justice in Georgia are grinding more slowly each day.

Cuts in spending for the state court system have led to fewer court dates available for hearings and trials, creating a growing backlog of cases. With serious criminal matters being heard first, delays are stretching to months for many civil, domestic and minor criminal cases.

The state court system, which handles more than 150,000 cases a year, had to slash spending by almost 15% in the past fiscal year, and more cuts loom. The state’s budget shortfall widened to $3.7 billion over the past 18 months.

Georgia judges are worried the system could stall. “We take an oath to uphold the laws and for people to have access to a judiciary,” state Supreme Court Chief Justice Carol W. Hunstein said in an interview. The cutbacks, she said, “are doing real harm to the system.” She said one state judge complained to her recently that it currently takes 60 days to hold a temporary hearing for a case such as family custody, which once took a few weeks at most.

Dang! Just imagine what kind of bad shape this state would be in if it had been run by Democrats. We’d probably be billions in debt and have double digit inflation and the most bank failures of any state and be down at the bottom of the pile in education and all sorts of terrible stuff. At least we don’t have any healthcare issues. That might be too much to think about in one day though.

Perhaps we should define “within range” first.

Well now, let’s see…The Presidents speech wasn’t about brainwashing our kids after all…just exhorting them to use their brains..The Neocons got it wrong again and again, ends up looking foolish. Yes, I’d say it was time to take their guns away, just so that they don’t hurt themselves…just sayin’.

Maybe if the Secret Service put the head of every airplane passenger in the United States into the crosshairs of their sniper rifles the whole entire flight, like they do with people carrying guns near Obozo, then yes, you could leave your shoes on as you board the plane.

But don’t inadvertently scratch your foot or pow.

How said that one would disparage the constitutional granted, and by extension, granted by G-d, inalienable right to bear arms. It is we, the white, center-right, male, who finds himself besieged by the despicable, dimwitted moor and his equally contemptible.compatriots. Yet the future bears great promise for a new day in which America will hit new heights under the 2012 Palin/Liz Cheney ticket.

Nah, if Democrats were in charge in this state, we would save a lot of money on corrections because we would not have half as many people in jails, because we wouldn’t jail them for drug possession, and even those who did would spend a rather short time in jail a few days at most.

Police arrested nearly 830,000 people in the United States in 2007 for marijuana law violations, according to DPA. Personal possession accounted for nearly 90 percent of those arrests.

Big, huge waste of time and money. I personally cant stand the stuff, but in most cases it makes people stupid and ineffective. As the punk rockers said, it neutralizes them. I used to love being around stoned people. They could keep me amused for hours with all the stupid stuff they did.

SUPREME COURT COULD USHER UNPRECEDENTED SPECIAL INTEREST ERA The Supreme Court could loosen restrictions on the influence of money in politics after it hears Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission on Wednesday.

In an editorial on Sunday, the New York Times said that if the Supreme Court strikes down the longstanding rule that corporations can’t spend directly on federal elections, it will usher in an era of labor unions and big business essentially deciding who gets elected and what they do in office:

Well, I don’t think it would be such a terrible thing as long as the politicians were required to wear uniforms that prominently displayed their corporate sponsors, like in NASCAR. Surely, all the rednecks can relate to that comparison.

Of course, it’s just a thought and it’s today so I suppose it could be considered a thought for the day.

If you load a 9mm Luger cartridge at 1500 fps, as stands for dimwit’s pinko chart suggests, the remnants of the barrel would travel through the back of your head at about 1500 fps when you pulled the trigger.

Don’t do this at home, y’all.

Since you have the chart how about answering the question?

Yours was a serious question? If so I need a better reference than that rather pathetic thing I’d googled. (For starters, it’s not correct to say “A 9mm bullet travels around 1500 ft/s. It will travel around 2500 yards before it falls”, since, last I checked, here on Earth a bullet starts falling the moment it leaves the barrel.)

But honestly, I think that getting too terribly technical about how accurate a sidearm might be from X meters, in a sidebar about the President’s security, might just get this humble comments thread more attention from DHS than any of us would like.

Well, I just hope all the parents out there will check their kids when they get off of the school bus to make sure they ain’t been brainwashed by this Kenyan. They can start off with a few questions to ask the kids, like

1. A man gets cancer and needs to see a Dr. He don’t have the money or insurance. Do you

a. tell him to get a job and stop sponging off of hard-working folks because he’s not our family and it’s not our job to help him out?
b. offer to help pay for his medical care through taxes?

2. A neighbor is a bit crazy and has a history of flying off the handle every time he sees something he don’t like. You’ve just learned that the man has bought two machine guns, and he’s out in the back yard yelling at noisy kids and waving the guns around. Do you

a. call the police and report what you know about the neighbor?
b. mind your own business because the man has a 2nd ammendment right to bear arms?

If the kids answer “a” to either of the questions, he’s been brainwashed by this Kenyan. You need to file a stiff protest with the school board and get the kids straightened out. If they answer “b” you got nothing to worry about.

You can’t be too careful with your kids. And you want to be sure nobody turns them into a bunch of lily-livered bleeding heart libruls.

Have a good p.m. everybody.

Typical liberal drivel. G-d did not write the constitution, rather the constitution acknowledges that all rights are G-d given. This stands in contrast to all previous government charters that intimated that rights were granted by the government.

You probably can understand this differentiation, but it was, perhaps, second only to the life and passion of Jesus, the most important thing in the history of mankind for this gave birth to the concept of and “inalienable right.” Don’t worry, Obumbler does not understand it either.

I’m sure there are more loaded shoes than guns WITHIN RANGE of the president. It’s the tingle down the leg thingy.

On the previous topic…it’s yet another contradiction between what the president advocated during the campaign and what he is advocating as president.

Obama ran an ad during the campaign in which he asked for parents’ help in education. I distinctly remember him saying…

“Turn off the T.V.”

At our school, we decided that it was his previous words that mattered most. We decided to use that time to educate.
