Today, President Barack Hussein Obama is scheduled to indoctrinate the schoolchildren of America into the marvels of socialism and his own cult of personality.
I heard on talk radio — so it must be true — that the president’s first step will be to teach the little children a slightly revised pledge of allegiance:
“I pledge allegiance to Obama, born not in the United States of America, and to the dictatorship for which he stands, ObamaNation, indivisible, with free healthcare but no guns at all.”
The Obama administration clearly understands that America’s public schools, filled with children whose pure little minds have little or no resistance, represent an incredibly fertile breeding ground for its ideas of “sharing” and “equality.” The hope is that once the kids are infected with socialist ideas, they will be sent home to infect their parents as well.
According to White House sources, it’s an approach recommended by infectious disease specialists at the CDC, based on the transmission pattern of the H1N1 flu virus. So far, the only vaccine guaranteed to provide immunity involves watching 72 nonstop hours of Fox News.

If we define ‘uneducated’ as the inability to learn lessons, it only makes sense.
For if there was but one lesson to be learned from the ‘w’ abortion of a presidency, it was simply this:
Stupid ain’t cool.

“the Obama administration clearly understands”, really? I have hard time based on the first 8 months in office believing Obama has a clear understanding of anything, I will give him credit on one front, cause of the public distrust he has created on both sides more & more people are actually paying attention to what our rocket scientists in DC are doing. So for that I thank him.

Fidel Castro speech to school children-
And the Union of Pioneers of Cuba Is Like a Great School in Which You Are
Preparing Yourselves for the Future
As you know, we are all organized. First of all, there is our party; then
there is the youth organization; and then, the other mass organizations.
Our workers are organized in their trade unions; Cuban women are organized
in the Federation of Cuban Women; neighbors are organized in Committees for
the Defense of the Revolution; farmers are organized in the National
Association of Small Farmers; students are organized in the FEEM
(Federation of Students of Intermediate Education) and the FEU (Federation
of University Students); and children are organized in the Pioneers, the
UPC. (applause) And the Union of Pioneers of Cuba is like a great school in
which you are preparing yourselves for the future.
In the future, when you grow up, you will join FEEM, the CTC (Central
Organization of Cuban Trade Unions), the Federation of Women, the CDR’s
(Committees for the Defense of the Revolution), the communist youth
organization and someday our glorious Communist Party. (applause)
Your revolutionary life begins in the UPC, and I am sure there is not a
single one of you who does not want to be revolutionary (shouts of: “No!”),
and I am sure there is not a single one of you who does not want to be a
communist in the future (shouts of: “No!”), and I am sure that all of you
have hopes of one day belonging to our Communist Party. (applause and
shouts)
The revolution is not over. The revolution is on the march. And tomorrow it
will be you who will have to carry our revolution forward. (applause) And I
know that you love the revolution. (shouts of: “Yes!”) And the revolution
is the work of past generations, present generations and future
generations. (applause)

Well said, Yankee. Perhaps a campaign to keep all the trash home today could bring about a perfect time to actually educate? Might just be the most productive day of the school year, what with none of the meth head redneck trash offspring to get in the teacher’s hair. Matter of fact, let’s use today to argue for lowering the drop-out age in GA to…five? YES! Fight socialism today, redneck trash – put your kid’s education where your mouth is and withdraw your little pi$$ant

I see many blaming this on rednecks but alot of the schools I have seen cancel the speech were not redneck and had quite high SAT scores. I think they are protesting because the parents want to openly show disrespect to Obama. The speech, as reported, would be positive to many. And since the original plan of making students write a letter to Obama pledging support has been canceled, the protests are a bit much.

Well, this Obama speech is another reason why we need to lower the age when kids can drop out of school. Kids shouldn’t be made to go to school and listen to the likes of Obama till they’re 16. Which just happens to be the age you can get a drivers liscence. We need to lower the age for getting a drivers liscence to 12 and let kids drop out then. That way they can go to work so they can get a trailer and a pickup truck of their own.
The GA SAT tests prove kids don’t learn nothing after they reach 12. So it’s just cruel to make them stay in school another 4 yrs.
Anyhow, it’s great to know alot of counties in GA ain’t letting this Obama brainwash their kids into thinking like Socialists. We might of lost the election but we ain’t lost our ability to fight the libruls. We will fight them in the cotton fields, we will fight them in the pulpwood mills, we will fight them in the trailer parks. We ain’t never going to surrender to the Socialists.
It might be diffrent if we had a decent Republican President talking to the kids. He would have Fambly Values and know what’s Right. But I would hate to think a kid would have to listen to the godless heathen we got in the White House now.
I ain’t never been as proud of GA folk as I am today. Have a good day everybody.

“But at the end of the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, and the best schools in the world and none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities. Unless you show up to those schools; pay attention to those teachers; listen to your parents, grandparents and other adults; and put in the hard work it takes to succeed.
And that’s what I want to focus on today: the responsibility each of you has for your education. I want to start with the responsibility you have to yourself.
Every single one of you has something you’re good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. That’s the opportunity an education can provide”
How dare he say such things!!!

Wow, because I do not believe that it is any politicians right to speak to my children I am now a redneck. that is fabulous. funny, when I signed up my children for school this year, i dont remember checking any box that said that I had to acquiesce to any politician speaking to my children. funny, i thought it was my right to keep them out. amazing that the liberals think the president has the right, ANY right, to address my children without my permission. I didnt agree with it when bush I or reagan did it and dont agree with it now.
so, are you all on the left spouting insults because you think that the president, or any politician, has a right to speak to my children or do you think the message is so important that our children need to hear it? funny, since I take an active role in my childrens’ lives, they know how important school is and how they are going to have a hell of a day if they dont get good grades. i dont need someone in washington that doesnt know me or my kids telling them that.

Now that I’ve read the speech, I see only two flaws. One, he uses too many big words that younger students may not know yet. Two, there is too much focus on college. Everyone does have a success potential, but it may not involve college. Other than that, I think it is a very good speech.

There’s irony in the fact that some of these people who think their kids will be brainwashed and indoctrinated by a 15 minute speech by the president think they are totally impervious to the brainwashing techniques used on them hours on end by the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity — high repetition of over-simplified messages, name-calling, appealing to their fears and prejudices, anti-intellectualism, constant harping on the liberal media to discourage them from going to or believing in other sources of news and information, characterizing anyone who thinks differently as the enemy, etc.
