What really worries Lockhart is commercial real estate. He knows that billions of loans are coming due next year and the next. And the collateral for those loans – the projects themselves – has dropped in value due to rising vacancies and lowered rents.
There’s some reason to hope that, as the economy improves, those valuations will stabilize and banks won’t be forced to write down the loans, which could wreck any recovery and destabilize the financial system once again.-Urinal

The drop in August was slightly more then Wall Street was predicting, but GM believes last month was not that bad. The company points out it had an exceptionally strong month in August of ‘08, so any comparison won’t be easy.

The blue oval rang up huge sales in Cash for Clunkers thanks to the Focus, Fusion, and Edge as well as one the best clunkers ad campaigns. It’s the second straight month Ford reported sales increases.

Isn’t capitalism great. Prices set by what the market will bear. Jobs coming and going as needed in order to insure the profits of the businesses and the returns for the rich. Looks like Bozo finally threw Jones under the bus. Now, lets take a look at the “diversity czar” at the FCC or at any number of others who Bozo surrounds himself with.
As to speaking with children or with most any other issue involving trust….. it just isn’t there. The latest Rassmussen polls reveal that the electorate is finding significant fault with Bozo and his plans for America….. the number of people who strongly approve of him has gone from 43% in Jan to less than 30% in August. Similarly, those that strongly disapprove has risen from 20 to 39% in the same time frame. His approval rating overall has dropped below 50% for the first time. The number of voters who call themselves independents disapprove of the current administration by a whopping 66% and that’s the group that wins elections. America is finally waking up.

In a way, I agree, for if I ever happened to catch one of Cynthia’s little darlings scheming on my daughter, I would choke his sorry ass to death, thus saving the local police department’s “valuable time.”
These libs are truly amazing, I never thought I would see the day when an alleged adult would make the case that menaces preying on the innocent women of our society was somehow a harmless affair. It’s not like it is a symptom of an underlying sickness or anything, you do not have to cross some lines to manifest this defilement on your victim, do you?
But, then again, women are just living, breathing pieces of meat, ripe and ready for your self absorbed pleasures, right?
Even more, what of the dismissive attitude towards what was once considered to be creepy, disgusting and repulsive? Have we come this far together as a civil society, is this one of those proud moments in our history?
democrats, progressives, liberals, if you want to know what is wrong with this country, why the decline in our educational standards, why the deep emotional suffering and ruination brought upon whole generations from the break up of the family, why drugs and casual sex have led to so many empty, lost lives devoid of any dignity, look in the mirror.

Well, if it wasn’t for NASCAR today I don’t know what I’d do. Every trailer park in GA is in mourning after my beloved Dawgs stunk up Okla. City yesterday. They took a butt-whomping and their hunt for the national championship is over before it even started. I felt like going out yesterday late p.m. and doing what every redneck wanted to do: find some little guy and whale the tar out of him. Somebody needs to get fired or tarred and feathered after that sorry display yesterday.
To make it even worser the Falcons cut the two Dawgs on the team. Like we needed another reminder of how bad things are going.
Anyhow, me and the missus are headed down to Hampton with lots of beer. People think us rednecks like to watch the race but that ain’t it. We like to walk around and swap beer and tall tales with other rednecks. It’s sort of like a big family reunion. Maybe if there’s a bad wreck we’ll stop talking and watch the race, but otherwise the race is just a reason to get together.
I hope the Whiner is as miserable about the beatdown his Illinois team got as I am about the Dawgs. Have a good Sabbath everybody. And you don’t have to go to church today. God writes you a excuse if there’s a NASCAR race to go to or watch.

And I love the fact that it was recorded in 71 so that’s a real piano, and a real 12 string guitar, and all those incredible backup “Ahhhhs” are really people singing together while actually hearing the rest of the performers. But it’s just fine for Chris Christy to fix his ticket when he drives stupidly down a one way street and sends a motorcyclist to the hospital while US Attorney and then to lie about it last week when questioned, and to lie about settling a law suit when he was taken to court by the motorcyclist.
It’s just fine for the Repubozos to advocate felon Libby be fully pardoned and restored to the White House and the Repubozo Wall Street Journal to be so livid that Libby was prosecuted that they refused to cover the trial and unsuccessful appeal by Libby entirely, and didn’t cover it until Bush got him off the hook for prison, but did not remove the conviction like the criminal Cheney wanted.
It’s great that there is more concern from idiots over whether the President gives a harmless pep talk to school children (not a peep when the previous three Presidents did it–two of ‘em named Bush) but not a peep about our adopting the baby at 30% more cost of troops and contractors for the next generations.

Hope you have fun with the “folks”. Heroes, that is.
