A little Latino flair to the travelin’ music this evening

As you might have gathered by now, I’m partial to many types of music. One of my favorite bands is Los Lobos, an L.A.-based group that features a unique Mexican blues/rock fusion. I’ve never had the chance to see them in person, but that’s going to change this evening at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. (One of the Southeast’s best blues bands, Atlanta-based Delta Moon, opens for them.)

I hope Los Lobos play this one tonight, it’s one of their best.

Saw them in Chapel Hill over 20 years ago just after Will the Wolf Survive? was released. It is encouraging to see this unique and original band remain relevant, interesting and prolific for what is going on 3 decades.

In the same vein as Los Lobos, gave fantastic live shows.

NORMAL!!! I see your problem with the smilies. You are using parentheses use colons – with no spaces in between – or if it’s just a plain smily just use the colon and a parentheses – you are putting in too many parentheses.

:-) — type colon, slash, closed parentheses

;-) — type semi-colon, slash and closed parentheses

 — type colon, the word “roll” followed by another colon – no spaces

Give it a try.

Wait, I don’t know if “slash” is the right word. In fact I know it’s not it’s hyphen. Normal, above where I typed “slash” I meant “hyphen.”

Normal, you also have to space one time after any punctuation (like a period at the end of a sentence.

Bosch

You can also type a sad face

type colon, dash, then the other parentheses

:-(

Well, sounds a little like the Gatlin Brothers, only a little out of tune. I reckon if they practiced awhile they might could get it right.

And now I got something that sticks in my craw, from Sister Dusty:

We have RedNeck for jokes or whatever you want to call his fabrications.(I think he is actually from Buffalo, NY.)

I ain’t never been to Buffalo, NY. I think this poor woman’s spent too much time in a lab slinging human waste and looking at it thru a microscope. But at least it’s good they keep her busy and we don’t have to hear from her except at lunch time when she’s not getting her Burger King Whopper and at night. Anyhow, you can’t insult a Southrener worse than she’s done to me.

Have a good Friday night everybody. I’m headed up to Billy Bob’s for awhile.

Redneck–some folks just ain’t got no sense of humor, thass all. Bless her heart. ‘Sides, what’s wrong with Buffalo? Little bit on the cold side fer me and my aches and pains, but some real nice folks from up around there with a real good sense of humor ’bout theyselfs…

Dear RedNeck,

Got any buffalo nickles? Do you shuffle off to Buffalo? Do you have summer snow in Buffalo ? Does your buffalo robe itch? Is your sister called “Buffy” ’cause she looks like one?

By the way, honey, my microscopic work is with blood, not “waste” unless you are wasted which would apply in your case. I suggest you eat more Whoppers with your grits. But no cheesy grits with shrimp, for goodness sake. Somebody might think you grew up like Bosch.

Holbrooke is said to have twice proposed holding a second run-off election after he expressed concern over voter fraud allegations. Afghan President Karzai reacted “very angrily” to the suggestion and the meeting ended shortly after.

Isn’t it rich to hear the libs whine about voter fraud?

I bet they would have sucked right up if the winner had been a Taliban.
