The one where F’RNC jumps the shark

Below is a fundraising “survey” on health care apparently mailed out by the Republican National Committee. Take a look at Question 4.

That inspires a question of my own:

Does the RNC really believe the American people are that stupid? Did they sit around at RNC headquarters, a little giddy at their success in selling the death-panel nonsense, and decide that there really were no limits on what they could peddle to those willing to believe?

Fortunately, we don’t have to answer those questions through mere conjecture. Below, we have newly released video of that very moment:

You betcha goshdarnit–RNC really believes people are that stupid. Just look at their parade of bozos for 2012. They believe that they’re stupid so everyone else must be too.

And in that vein, it’s typical to see these bozos wait until Kennedy is dead to claim that Kennedy would want Dems to cave to them and pass a completely worthless health care bill without insurance company competition. They would have never used this rhetoric while he was alive, because he would have slammed them for passing anything less than the HELP bill his committee is proposing in the Senate.

Insurance and pharmaceutical company employee Max Baucus stupidly said today that Kennedy who was always a single-payer guy since he came to the Senate would have compromised for their worthless coops. Kennedy compromised by putting the public option in his committee’s bill instead of single payer and he wouldn’t spit on coops.

Kennedy’s bill never sold out to the insurance companies, but the Senate Finance Six are trying to.

They haven’t been wrong so far making that assumption in this debate. And many “mainstream journalists” have been complicit by not challenging their lies.

Of course they believe people are stupid enough to buy that. Both Democrats & Republicans put out such nonsense. And guess what, it works! The American voter is famous in professional political circles for being stupid.

It worked in 1789 & has worked in every election since.

No truer words were ever spoknen, and that spans the coverage of the Bush administration on every issue. NYT has been pathetic in covering the CIA torture whitewash, just as they were with warantless wiretapping.

They aren’t mentioning any of the hooker dynamic going on now with donations flooding to opponents of health care reform:

What do you think, Jay. With every new piece of knowledge that I acquire regarding the Republican party, the farther I move away from them. BY the way, have I mentioned lately that the Republicans are doing a most excellent job of getting their message out to the citizens. Don’t change a thing. Really. Honestly. Trust me. After all, I wouldn’t even be telling you this if I did not care. It’s the “compassionate” in me.

Have Democrats jumped the shark regarding healthcare?

The question today is:
Did the death of Senator Kennedy save healthcare for the Democrats?

My 84 year-old mother is a card carrying member of the Republican party. She told me that she intentionally leaves Fox News Channel on all day and night at her retirement home apt. where she lives because electricity is included in her rent, and she wants Fox News to have good ratings. She believes that Nancy Pelosi is Lucifer in a dress. She will no doubt receive that survey and there is no question in my mind as to how she will answer every question on this survey.

jt August 27th, 2009 4:01 pm SAID:At least the RNC didn’t rely on tax-payers to finance their propaganda. AND they didn’t rely on American SNITCHES for a mailing list.
CHRIS SAYS: So how does the Democratic Party use tax-payers to finance their “propaganda”? BTW, last I checked, RNC propaganda against health care insurance reform is heavily subsidized by big insurance, pharmaceutical and health care industries. Hasn’t the insurance industry drafted 50,000 of its employees to email congress, attend town halls, etc? Just an FYI, both parties use donations from members to finance their respective points of view.

GOP Rep.: Republicans Struggling To Find “Great White Hope” To Lead Them Back To Power TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) – A freshman Republican congresswoman, Rep. Lynn Jenkins, apologized Thursday for telling a gathering in her district that the GOP was still searching for a “great white hope” to stop President Barack Obama’s political agenda.

With people like this in the Republican Party, they wonder why they have problems attracting minority voters?? Naturally, they also have Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, etc. So, at least she’s in the company of like minded individuals.

The saturnine and tormented GOP is desperate. Flat out desperate.

Pathetically frightened, misguided and myopic, yes.

But mainly desperate.

I am on their mailing list and I get these pleas regularly.

They always end with fear-mongered nonsense, not that much removed from stands for decibels hysterical observation at 3:57, for MONEY!!!! LOTS of money!

The demographics are dead set against them. And their largely repudiated ideology dooms them to a romanticized and idealized past where Father Knew Best, and Joe McCarthy ruled.

It is undeniable that the nation, MUCH to their dismay, is changing and it harbors even more horrific results for the Old White Guy Party of Dixie…

YES, the RNC believes people are that dumb. And, YES, some folks ARE that dumb. Sounds like a survey made up by some state-employed agencies here in Georgia!

Yep. Jay is right. The Republicans have jumped the shark, Democrats are gaining in popularity and health care reform is going just the way the left wants it to.

Jay’s endlessly partisan prattle is an excellent illustration of why Democrats are apparently impotent despite controlling Congress and the White House. Instead of addressing the very legitimate concerns of voter regarding their policies (stimulus, health care, cap and trade, etc), they just keep bleating that Republicans are bad. You would think that by this point, folks like Jay would recognize that this strategy is failing miserably. Unfortunately, folks like Jay think that Americans really think that either party is really any better than the other and that incessant partisan carping are persuasive arguments for their preferred policies.

Does the Jay really believe the American people are that stupid?
