Those who read the bill can barely read anyway, and know nothing about how legislation works.

In variably every section I have seen pulled out by one of these ravers has been removed from context, where the sections before hand have exceptions and the rules they are citing refer only to a very small and very wealthy percentage of the population. Like those executives at AIG and the other companies that ruined the economy who had huge health insurance benefits. They were of course offered to everyone working for the company, but only those who could afford to pay their share of the premiums. The CEO's had golden plated health benefits, where the company picked up 40,000 dollars a year of the premiums if they paid ten thousand a year.

Who cares what the majority of Americans think?

If this was about majority rules then our country would have started tanking even earlier than now. You can thank the founders for the foresight they had which so far has kept our union intact, well them and Abe Lincoln who made sure dissent wouldn't be tolerated.

A black panther outside a polling place? Would that be the famous pic of the man that lived there standing outside his own home and all the reps trying to turn it into a race riot? The man was at his home, get over it. One of these protesters are going to bring a gun, some psycho will take it from the person and open fire on dems and reps alike. That is what it will take to get people to realize the danger in this.

Boy, none of you people would last 5 minutes in an "Open Carry" state such as the one where this pic is of or Washington for that matter. Stay where you are, we don't want you. Liberals....

These people carrying guns to Obama rallys are just trying to get their 15 minutes of fame. The first one was immediately on Chris Matthews show, but I haven't seen any of the others on tv. I don't know what this black guy is trying to prove, he knows he voted for Obama, and he is all for whatever Obama wants to do. Some of these people are crazies though, and one time they will start to shoot and kill a lot of the racist people who are at the protests, and then it will stop.

It's not illegal to carry a machette; it is illegal to hack someone with it. It's not illegal to carry a billy club; it is illegal to hit someone with it. It is not illegal to drive a car; it is illegal to run over someone with it. So why do so many think the rules should be vastly different for firearms? Those who carry them and don't use them are hurting no one. Those who do use them to hurt people, not in self defense, need to rot in jail for their natural-born lives. That's justice in a civilized society.

Know what scares me more than a few yahoos with pistols? How about being operated on by a government-paid doctor who now gets about 50 cents on the dollar compared to what he used to earn and has all the job incentive of your average postal worker? Now THAT'S scary.

Hey EJ Moosa........ I have no problem with you carrying your concealed weapon, and I am more than sure you can understand what is the correct time to show that weapon.

I don't understand why anyone would bring a weapon such as a assault weapon to a peaceful rally ?

Where is the logic there, and as Jay says....... what really is the point, it if is not to intimidate other folks ?

I also don't believe for the life of me that type of activity would be allowed at a "Peaceful" Demonstration outside a Republican convention, or would have been allowed if President Bush was in the area !

You've got to be kidding me. It is NOT a threat! He is simply stating that, since bringing guns in other locations has been such a big deal (even though it is quite constitutional), we're simply NOT bringing guns to this rally. Let's get the message here folks! This is about the government attempting to take over our lives, 1 issue at a time, both parties fully involved....
