Regarding White House Asking For Emails: The email I got from the whitehouse a couple of days ago, basically said if you know of the rumors and what's being said via email please forward a copy to us, (whtiehouse), so that we can confront the rumors and reply to them. It didn't say anything about ratting anyone out; OR turning in your next door neighbor. They don't care WHO sent the email, they want to know what's in them. And if I forward an email to you from someone else; how is that illegal? Besides, didn't Bush enact, and wasn't it upheld by Congress and the Senate, the Patriot Act? Didn't expect THAT one to come back and bite you in the butt did ya republicans?

Good morning. Hope y'all didn't wait too late on the yard work. I just came in from watering and it is getting hot.

This is one reason they believe the worst:

Bring it on!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama accused his critics on Saturday of resorting to "outlandish rumors" and "misleading information" aimed at derailing his efforts to overhaul the $2.5 trillion U.S. healthcare system.

"Some things just don’t pass the common-sense test."

I've seen several versions of this: the problem with "common sense" is that it isn't common enough.

Is it really plausible that a person, elected to serve constituents, who’s fought for that position, in many cases taken a huge career change, would really work to make it mandatory to kill (euthanize) his or her constituents?

The only thing that I can figure is that some folks have finally come to realize that the impending impact of global warming on food supplies will force us to have to find new sources of sustainable nourishment sooner, rather than later. I really hope they call it something other than Soylent Green though. I mean, there are just too many people down on anything "green" these days.

White House Move to Collect 'Fishy' Info May Be Illegal

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/08/07/white-house-collect-fishy-info-health-reform-illegal-critics-say/

Oops.

Question: If White House lawyers and advisors were in on the strategy session that came up with this idea, and if the 1974 statute was mentioned (or even if it wasn't), and those actions are shown to violate the 1974 statute,

should those lawyers and advisors be prosecuted for advocating a course of action contrary to statute, same as those who advocated prosecuting the attorneys responsible for the torture memo opinions?
