My health coverage is a single payer system, the VA. It works pretty damn well and I have yet to be denied one single thing. I work in healthcare and see first hand the games insurance carriers play not to pay or pay as little as possible. People really need to read their healthcare contracts. You may find that your coverage is very limited or none at all under many circumstances. Remember, these are for profit organizations – which means your the last thing on their list except for the premiums you pay.

If they want true reform then let healthcare be offered across state lines, let them create pools of people that can be formed so that individuals can get group rates. Let us have pre-tax medical spending accounts up to over $10,000 or more. That is reform.

That I could get behind, but how do suggest we present it to the powers that be? By shouting down? By threats? By bully tactics?

And The huffington Post does not go to meetings and shout down, bully, etc. so I don’t see your point there

and the last poll I saw was that the country was pretty much evenly divided on health care, but everyone knows that numbers can be crunched anyway you want.

Also, in a debate, it’s good form not to use words like dimocrat, loonie left, and Obozo. It removes any valid point you might have otherwise made and makes you look…well, stupid. Jus’ sayin’

I do believe that we need that we need some healthcare reform, but we don’t need government run healthcare. Why do we need to ruin our economy to cover 5% of the population, which may not even be legally here? Also I guess the liberal idiots forget about code pink and the loonie left idiot that disrupt congressional hearings and other government functions. Or the left wing blogs that call the GOP by names I can’t write here. Have you been to the Huffingtonpuss lately? How come they are not called a mob? How come in the healthcare “debate” only the liberal talking points are fair game? If you want real discussion then the left has to listen and compromise, not say hear it is and if you don’t like it you are against America or you want to “Hurt Obozo”. If over 80% of America does not want this bill rammed down their throat then they should listen, why aren’t they? Because this debate is NOT about healthcare it is about a power grab by the evil rich dimacrats. Good for you. You do realize that you can contribute all the money you want to a charity?

You see, there are those of us who don’t want to pay more taxes, and see no need to supposedly “help” people who are incapable of pulling their own weight.

And if you demand that government stick a gun to our heads and rob us blind, just because you feel that would be “generous”, than you are violating our rights and freedoms and we’re not going to let that happen.

To sum it up, you have the right to contribute extra money to a charity if you want to “help”.

You however don’t have the right to demand that I do the same thing, at gunpoint no less.
