I didn’t know it was all about who started the madness….tell that to the families of the soldiers that have been killed recently. He’s (Obama) continuing the madness, that’s what really counts. Bush isn’t the President anymore.

At least Obuma didn’t send our worst president Jimmy “Allahtola” Carter to negotiate giving the North Koreans more nuclear reactors, as he did during the Clinton Administration, based on Kim “crossing his heart and hope to die” promise to NEVER use them for weapons!

- I agree fully with N.J. (also my birthstate). people like Jake and fr burn have absolutely NO
knowledge of history, much less military history. Jake in particular refers to journalists as
“poorly trained spies” – he (or she) is playing right into the hands of Asian politics. He then
claims we “nuked the japanese to their knees” by destroying TWO cities, both of which were
rebuilt under the auspices of a U.S. orchestrated ceremony which essentially converted what
was then an imperial state whose state religion (Shinto) told them they should take over the
world (sound familiar ?) into an American protectorate. They now enjoy a higher standard of
living, one of the longest life spans of any industrialized country, and greater academic success
among their students. The same could be said for their other Axis power asssociate, Germany.
Trying to sound technical by referring to the President as an acronym doesn’t change the fact
that many Far East power players are using statecraft in an increasingly frequent series of
events since Februrary 2001. A US Navy P-3 Orion crew is detained and released, only to find
out later that the aircraft was completely stripped of avionics and intelligence hardware (its gutted
airframe brought back on a C-5 Galaxy). A few years later, it’s just COINCIDENCE that they
(China) are putting a man in space ?

We need to get our collective act together. Dumb jingoism and reactionary behavior doesn’t cut
it anymore. Not in a global economy. Not with terrorists using ever more complex weapons of
mass (and limited) destruction. And not with online and offline flat-earthers, birthers, and
moon-landing conspiracy theorists undermining our resolve. We have to handle difficulties
before they arise, not deal with the consequences after the fact.

for the record….I’m a conservative and I was very pleased at the
outcome of that situation. Also, while I’m not happy about the
result of the last presidential election I am willing to give our leaders
the benefit of the doubt and see if they can prove me wrong. However,
it is difficult for me to take that position after the way the lamestream
media treated Bush for eight years but I’ve decided to take the high road
on this one.

“N.J. – Nonsense. We saw economic recovery in Europe, fueled by Marshall Plan funding, as helping to create political stability that could slow down the expansion of the Soviet block. Trade had very little to do with it. We had a very robust economy in the 90’s and parts of the 00’s despite huge, in fact record, trade imbalances. How is that possible if our conomy is dependent on exports to trading partners?”
It was all paper. It wasn’t real. The real wealth was shipped out a long time ago (sorry to cut in line).
