Jay while I appreciate you bringing light to this subject we look like crabby Republicans if we cannot come up with a workable solution. My suggestion is the expasion of the word "CREED" as covered in our Constitution. Christians believe that God made you perfectly the way you are, and since CREED deals with a set a Christian beliefs, I say that everyone pre-determined sexual identity is from God and as such is an already protected act.

Such ignorant, hateful comments. Not a surprise given that this is coming from the nation's most ignorant region. Why are Southerner's so proud of their ignorance. It's no wonder that the Republican party only does well amongst uneducated Southerner's. The rest of educated America has moved on...

Friend of mind was drafted in 1966 for VietNam war. Wanted to run off to Canada but his family would not give him the $$. So he told Army at the induction center that he was a homosexual. They did not believe him. Sent to VietNam & he came back in a box. His name is on the Wall in DC.

He was not gay - just trying to get out of going to VietNam. I was drafted 3 months later. My father offered to send me to Canada. I refused. Army sent me to Thailand. Life's funny.

There are apparently thousands of people volunteering to go to war for their country, perhaps to die for their country, and we will not let them do so. I find something wrong with this picture.

Better examine your own life first and be careful what you wish for. Are you sure you've never committed a deportable offense? Or are you just trolling?

Duh, why not just have enough high-tech equipment the community needs to serve everyone? How much of the time does it sit unused? It's even worse than our public school buildings.

Hill's plan was a jewel compared to what's being considered now.

PBS is the only news worth watching out there.

The Newshour is actually just about the only news, period, being broadcast on the TeeVee.

We can not allow Afghanistan to be over run by the Taliban again. Whether we are successful in getting OBL or not is beside the point.

I have always thought if we were not distracted and burdened with Iraq we might have gotten him years ago.
