There's nothing at all remotely interesting about Romney's increased popularity when dems are factored into the polling.

First, despite their orgiastic purring that they are hoping for Palin to be the republican nominee, they wish nothing of the kind.

Second, why would dems lean more towards Romney as the better bet for Republicans if they thought had a shot at taking down Obama?

Palin is operating in a sphere of her own. She is equally as financially astute as Romney and the triangulation of forces she brought together for the Alaskan pipeline--Alaska, TransCanada and Exxon (the latter of which are bitter rivals) is as impressive as any skin that hangs on Mitt's wall.

Most importantly, when vetted by McCain's go-to guy, A.B. Culverhouse, vetted Palin he brought in two of his most cynical partners. Here is an excerpt from his interview about this that mysteriously never saw the light of day in the mainstream media until a few months ago:

"Culvahouse and his team asked Palin three "lead-in" questions to determine her capacity to serve as McCain's V.P.

* Why do you want to be vice president?
* Are you prepared to use Nuclear weapons in the defense of the homeland?
* Osama bin Laden is identified in the FATA, the CIA is ready to take a shot, but if they take a shot there will be multiple civilian causalities, will you take the shot?

Her grade: "She knocked those three questions out of the park," said Culvahouse.

The most potentially useful resource Palin has at her disposal, like Peter Falk's legendary Inspector Columbo is the manner in which she has allowed her opponents and detractors to think she is dimwitted and without exemption, always intellectually in over her head in the arena of national politics.

It is astonishing and a bit pathetic watching liberals spinning in with Obama who they judge as an
intellectual Superman while at the same time scornfully dismissing the woman who, like Toto, in "The Wizard of Oz" is going to pull back the curtain on the hoax.

<i>The amount is not relevant. Obama will be raising my taxes. That is relevant</i>

In short, you'd rather fork over (say) 1000/month to a private insurer than pay (say) 500/month in taxes, just on principle. Got it.

Good luck pitching that, I'm sure it'll be real popular.

What I would like to know is why an army of INS agents wasn’t at the Georgia Dome last night for the soccer game to round up great multitudes of illegals in one big scoop.

I hate EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU who caused a traffic nightmare last night and made many of us miss the first 4 innings of the Yankees-Braves game by backing up I-75 for 2 freaking hours.

Seal the Border, and…

GO, BRAVES !

<i>"And Obama is a Marxist, not a communist. And starting to lean fascist as well."</i>

That is very funny! I love watching people throw around words they obviously don't understand.

Tell me, is a square also a circle and a triangle? Or does it just "lean" that way?

<i>DB - You would lose. I know exactly what my employer pays for my health care benefits.</i>

Funny how you haven't mentioned what that amount is, or how that compares to what people in civilized nations with single payer plans actually spend for their health insurance.

Carry on trolling, Pennsy. I'm sure we're going to hear that youv'e got yerself a bang-up deal from your employer and the eeevul Osammer-Obammer's gone go and take it away from you, like the crypto-Commie he is, right?

I've been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Private, for profit health insurance simply sucks.

Meanwhile, I'm off to set a spell at the new thread.
