Hey Bookman, why did you ignore the little issue of Obama breaking the law by firing Walpin without the required 30 day notice?

Sidebar -- see the following. The arrogance and egotistical, self-serving attitude of the CA dems and this administration is beyond belief....

____________

In case you forgot, Barbara Boxer is a senator.

The feisty California lawmaker felt the need to remind an Army brigadier general of that fact Tuesday during a hearing before her Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, where the military officer testifying had the apparent gall to call Boxer "ma'am."

Brig. Gen. Michael Walsh, with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, was testifying on the Louisiana coastal restoration process in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. He began to answer one of Boxer's questions with "ma'am" when Boxer immediately cut him off.

"You know, do me a favor," an irritated Boxer said. "Could say 'senator' instead of 'ma'am?'"

"Yes, ma'am," Walsh interjected.

"It's just a thing, I worked so hard to get that title, so I'd appreciate it, yes, thank you," she said.

"Yes, senator," he responded.

"White House: Firing AmeriCorps IG an act of "political courage"

I guess in the continuing re-defining of words and phrases by PresBO, that "political courage" is defined as -- quick, find me some cover, a scapegoat, and backdate the paperwork...

Mrs. Godzilla 8:37

I hope the rest of the Congress feels that way. Still doesn't correct the fact Pres Obama cosponsored the law requiring 30 days' notice to Congress with reasons, not a notice to the IG that in 30 days you're toast.

So McCaskill says it's fine. McCaskill claimed that if she were elected last term, she was going to make Missouri the stem cell research capitol of the world. The last I checked, they ain't there yet. Why do dems want to protect people like Johnson ?

McCaskill: Reasons For Firing IG Are "Well Founded"
By Zachary Roth - June 17, 2009, 5:58PM
We asked earlier today whether Sen. Claire McCaskill would be satisfied with the White House's explanation of its reasons for firing AmeriCorps IG Gerald Walpin. And it looks the answer is yes.

McCaskill said in a statement, reports CNN, that the White House was now in full compliance with the law, and added: "The reasons given in the most recent White House letter are substantial and the decision to remove Walpin appears well founded."

the guy is 77, he could have been confused. The fact is he did his job and another multi-millionaire democrat got caught taking money that was not his. Kevin Johnson clearly had the money to pay a personal assistant but chose to use taxpayer money, he felt entitled, Just Like Democrat John Conyers and his wife. She is looking at jail time for taking bribes. I wonder if the Conyers filed a joint return because I doubt they listed the bribes on the tax form, they we not patriotic. Why is this story not in the news ? A lady in Alaska filed an ethics complaint against Sarah Pahlin for receiving a jacket from he husbands snowmobile sponser and it made the news.
