Just who is this Obama guy? He's a the guy that is making us all take a hard look at ourselves and making us realize the we are not as special as we seem, and that is why idiots like Rush Limp-bah hate him so. See, it as simple as this, people like Rush and his ilk are so smug with their "masters of the universe" status. Now someone has come along, challenging the dogma, so all of a sudden, things don't seem as sure and solid for these folks. They're facing "real competition" for the very first time and they can't seem to get ahead like they did in the past.

The "good old boy" network is rapidly being replaced, you conservatives now know that you will have to work fro your cheese, no more gimmes or handouts. Sorry, but the tee time for that golf game at noon has been cancelled. NOW GET TO WORK YOU LAZY BUMS!!

Paul--I found that finding on the bymber oif mentionse of the Christian Messiah rather interesting. But then as the Unmentionable said, "oh, well, as the old spiritual goes, 'everybody talking about heaven ain't going there."

Bud Wiser: So, your conclusion is that black Americans aren't racist--they're just "lazy and stupid."

Glad to see we've overcome racism in America!

Kamchak 7:47 last night

[[Why do conservative Christians make religion an issue? Why is there a litmus test applied to the Presidency? When did it become so important? Who are these “true believers”? Which ones have regularly ridiculed evangelicals? You have made many assumptions.]]

“Obama’s invocation of the Christian Messiah is more overt than Americans heard in the public rhetoric of Bush in his time in the White House — even though Bush’s victories were powered in part by evangelical voters.

“I don’t recall a single example of Bush as president ever saying, ‘Jesus’ or ‘Christ,’” said Tony Perkins, president of the conservative Christian group Family Research Council. “This is different.”
“Nathan Bupp, from the atheist organization Center for Inquiry, tells the paper that non-believers see the current president's invocations of faith as a, "symbolic gesture...”
So it doesn’t seem it’s the conservative Christians making Jesus talk an issue. It’s the agnostic/atheist or conservative-Christian ridiculers who make it an issue. So it seems to me it's another issue where there's not a principle at stake, just another way to criticize a Republican or a conservative.

Doggone/GA

[[A pledge is a spoken contract and children are not legally liable for contracts. Only someone who truly UNDERSTANDS the responsibilities embodied in the Pledge should EVER recite it.]]

A contract involves at least two parties and requires some form of consideration (exchange of something of value), among other elements.

A ‘pledge’ does not meet the test of a ‘contract.’

Mrs. Godzilla 7:37 in the am

Please try to keep up, will you? Although you’ve offered more supporting evidence, this blog has already established that not only is Pres Bush a Muslim, he’s also a gay Muslim. He held hands with that Saudi dude in the robes, remember?

@@ when I was a kid found a wallet with a little over $100 in it (a princely sum in those days) and went and gave it back to the owner. Didn't say anything to anybody about it. The owner told me to keep the money as a reward for being honest. Of course, I was ecstatic. Went home and, it being a small town where everybody knew everybody, word about what I had done beat me home. Mama met me at the door, no excess praise, just simply that she was glad I had done the right thing. Then, "now don't you think you ought to share your good fortune with others?" Goodbye bicycle and bb gun, hello "charity of my choice!"

Normal:

Was that a woman's wallet or a man's? Mine got turned in with $200 missing. (ISH)

Recently I was shopping...buggy full. It was only after I paid and was placing the purchases in my car that I discovered a lipstick for which I had not paid. I drove to the garden entrance, took the lipstick in and told them I forgot to pay. Not only the woman in front of me, but the CASHIER said they wouldn't have bothered.

HUH?

"It's such a trivial item." said the customer in front of me.

"Well I need to pay for it -- my conscience won't allow me not to."

While the customer was placing her purchases in her buggy, the cashier rang up the lipstick. It was $8.00.

Shocked, the customer said "I had no clue..."

My thought was "Obviously."

Copyleft, Wiper calls the blacks who overwhelmingly voted for Obama racist.

When proven they voted for white candidates in similar percentages, he shifts gears.

A mental midget, an inveterate liar and amazingly intellectually dishonest.

In other words, a cracker and good Republican...
