I did call Bob Barr, and he said Republicans are idiots (see Bob's column today...) and irrational...

It must be sunday, I saw that the Pious one has already dropped an f-bomb in one of his/her cut-n-paste rants. Andy never disappoints.

And I see Tuesday's mom has given her computer priviledges back so shes here wishing for liburals to die again... sad...

The republican trolls are alive and well, since they have absolutely nothing else to do with thier lives out in the wilderness, Jay gives them a place to live here...

Re: social welfare programs, I would propose a more stringent method of deciding if a person is "disabled". Many of them could do some kind of work if there was no other alternative. Put them out on the land with no tv, food, air conditioning/ heat and see what skills and abilities they actually have. If they find a way to survive, they weren't disabled.

And, if we talk about wefare, we could get rid of a lot of the corporate welfare recepients, right--not just those currently sucking at the public teat but also all businesses that have ever gotten any kind of tax break? And homeowners, who get subsdized via the tax code. And those getting student loans. And those who drive on subsidized roads. And those who drink municipal water. Or if you eat food or take medicine that the government has inspected. Heck, Vandy, if you haven't received those benefits you and I could have most of the country to ourselves! Oops! I do drive on the roads. So I guess you would be by yourself.

BD,

Not all Vietnam dodging was done by Repubs. I sort of remember a Rhodes Scholar who didn't serve a day of military service due to "student deferments". BTW, what do you consider a "real patriot"?

suicide's a cop-out so, yeah, I could see Cheney or Bush doing that before facing any responsibility for breaking the law. Some historical examples?

Let's see, Cheney had 5 Vietnam deferrments (he had better things to do than protect our country back then) that's 5 cop-outs.

W skirted Vietnam service by having his dad pull strings to get him into a guard unit without the possibility of having to go fight (yeah, that's still a cop-out.)

At least McCain and Powell had the nads to go fight for their country. Oh.... that's probably why the hard right doesn't like them! They have real life experiences to guide his decision making! That's why Limbaugh and Hannity and the other retards want to make them Democrats!

I don't think hard right people can stand real patriots because they find it difficult to look them in the eye because they are really just cowards...deep down...and they know this about themselves.

Yeah, and after Nancy Pelosi does her 'wronged female' thing and gets Obozo to go full throttle after the CIA, the only intel in the white house will be the little chips inside of the computers; problem then becomes finding anyone smart enough to use the computer.
