Here’s one I never knew-

Ahead of Obama’s address, at least 27 people were arrested on trespassing charges. They included Norma McCorvey, the plaintiff identified as “Roe” in the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion. ~~~~~~~~~~~~She now opposes abortion~~~~~~~~~~~ and joined more than 300 anti-abortion demonstrators at the school’s front gate.

I did know this, however-

A Gallup survey released Friday found that 51 percent of those questioned call themselves “pro-life” on the issue of abortion and 42 percent “pro-choice.” This is the first time a majority of U.S. adults have identified themselves as “pro-life” since Gallup began asking this question in 1995.

There is nothing wrong and alot right with Godful Christian leaders like Bush and Rumsfield evoking the lord and the Bible. It shows the moral superiority of the US.

Of course, I am not surprised the mainstream drive-by media is mocking the religious believes of Bush and Christians.

I only saw insirational quotes in this. Nothing that said god is calling you to go to war because of this, which would make it a holy war as claimed. Seemed most came after the decision to go to war had already been made, which means they were not the cause of the war, again not a holy war then. We should not be in the business of fighting holy wars though as that was in my opinion a staple of what our country was founded on.

This really matters no more than if they were any famous insirational quotes, from any source. But I do understand that many will continue to look for any reason to cast more doubt upon an already doubted party, and administration. Did anyone really learn anything by this that they did not already expect?

Taxpayer,
I assume as long as she does not lie, get caught lying, change her story then accuse the CIA of lying, not much will be mentioned about her.

But I understand that you are only concerned with tax cheats, except sometimes?, so it would be alot to ask for you to understand people’s complaint with elected officials lying to them about stuff. i.e. the bush administration.

Jesus and his disciples referenced it when discussing Jesus’s newer teachings, referring to it as “the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms … the scriptures”. (Luke 24:44–45)

The New Testament indicates that Jesus Christ mediates a New Covenant relationship between his disciples and God (Luke 22:20; 2Cor 2–3; Heb 8–9). Christianity, almost without exception, teaches that this New Covenant is the instrument through which God offers mercy and atonement to mankind. However, there are differences of opinion as to how the New Covenant affects the validity of biblical law. The differences are mainly as a result of attempts to harmonize biblical statements to the effect that the biblical law is eternal (for example Exodus 31:16-17, 12:14-17) with New Testament statements that suggest that it does not now apply at all, or at least does not fully apply.

Before Christ, imperfect man had to be perfect to be accepted into the Kingdom of Heaven and these “rules” were set forth in the Old Testament, but being mere humans, we screwed it up, mainly by embracing sin. Some things never change. Anyway, Christ died for our sins and imperfections, our Father is a loving God after all.

The Old Testament, before you go dissing God, I know you liberals like I know the back of my hand, was written by men, TRANSLATING the Word of God.

This is where the Holy Spirit comes in, allow Him into your heart and He will guide your living so that you do the Lord’s Will.

It’s really pretty simple.

Oh, and how was Church today? Did you go, or did you stay home and “preach” to the bloggers?

When I said in an early post that the congregation sent off a fine young man to the Marine Corps, what do you think I was talking about?

While I am a godless heathen, I understand that 90%+ are believers and the military uses this very effectively. When you are sending young men and women into harms way, you pull out all the stops to motivate them. And it’s been very effective for our military, and I like the results. If we didn’t have a God in our culture, the military would invent one to give the soldiers inspiration.

The next frontier for the ACLU may the removal of religious references from the Armed Forces. But that would give our enemies an advantage. Sortta like Obama wanting the rid the world of nuclear weapons. We get rid of ours right after everyone else does.

You are not keeping up. Man-made disaster is what the Obama administration calls attacks on Americans by those that hate us.

BTW, I read the same poll that you constantly quote that 17% of Americans admit to being Republicans. 35% in the same poll admitted to being Democrats. By old math, that’s 52% that claimed to be neither. Americans love winners. You would think with the glorious triumph of liberalism that you portray, more than 35% would want to identify with the new world order.

I suspect your giddiness over the demise of the GOP is premature so why don’t you give it a break and discuss issues instead of “the score”. Otherwise you will be forced to discuss the recent Gallop poll where 51% of Americans oppose abortion on demand.

Dusty,

I see you at least had the honesty to re-phrase your claim regarding part of the Bush legacy — 9/11. Now, we need to continue to work on your claims regarding Iraq. More of the truth is out now with those memos. The Bush administration tortured people in an effort to obtain a false confession regarding Iraq and terrorists. Our brave soldiers died needlessly in Iraq because Iraq posed no imminent threat and even beyond that, Reagan and Rumsfeld aided and abetted Saddam in his killing of innocent people in Iraq. So, perhaps one should be doing some soul searching and asking just who were the real criminals all along.

But you sit at home and cringe and cry. I think you are a disgrace.

Really, Dusty. Grow up. Your silly, childishness is so inappropriate. How old do you claim to be anyway. If you disagree with me, just say so. I understand. Really, I do. You do not need to embellish with rhetoric that is clearly intended to make yourself ‘feel’ better.

I have not portrayed any so-called glorious triumph of liberalism. However, I have re-iterated the obvious failures of GOP philosophies. I’m just a messenger though. The instigators of said failings are pure GOP.

Amvet,

Where did I hope for failure?

I hope for total success for Obama.

We will all be happy.

The climate will cease to change.

All the world’s people will just get along because the bad old USA won’t be out there screwing up the world.

All our energy will be created from the wind, without ugly bird killing turbines in sight of the Kennedy compound.

The Islamic jihadists will abandon their beliefs that the infidels must succumb to their religious beliefs, no wait, better yet, the Islamists will decide that the Koran tells them to follow the teachings of the ACLU.

All nuclear weapons will be destroyed and everyone will forget how to make more of them.

No corporate CEO will make too much money and no lazy ass will have too little.

All the fruits of our labor will be put in one big pile and everyone can help themselves to whatever they need.

We will all drive cute little cars that run off of electricity that will be made from the 2 million wind turbines located across the country out of sight from everybody, or we will all have solar powered cars and we all stay home on cloudy days.

All Asian workers will be in the UAW and other unions so that their goods cost just as much as US produced stuff.

Health care will be free. If you are feeling a little weird, just walk into the corner MRI/CAT Scan facility and get checked out. Doctors and nurses who gladly work for the new $25/hr minimum wage will take care of you.

All the water will be pure and the air pristine.

Most people will be employed by the Federal Government and get all the Federal holidays.

Oh, I truly hope for the success of Obama.

Taxpayer,

I have changed nothing. Neither have you. You are still an anti-war protestor who will not admit it NOW.. You have made your “anti-war stand” quite clear many times in the past so don’t act so “innocent”.

I have already told you I disagreed with you. It was at 10:22 tonight. You can post all your misinterpretations and accusations as seen by anti-war protestors like you. It will not make them true. Fortunately, it will not kill our freedom either, even though you will not give any credit to those who keep us free.

The hour is late so goodnight. It is great to live in a free country without fear and trembling. I shall sleep very well.

I suspect that these cover sheets contained quotations from a variety of sources.

I guess the question is why religiophobes are so frightened of mere words, simply because they disagree with the thought expressed?

If these quotations bother you, you should probably seek help for that bigotry problem you have.

I suspect these presentations had quotes from a variety of sources. Why were these cherry-picked? To stoke the Bush-hating religiophobes, no doubt.

Andy you might want to read Matthew 5:22.

OMG, the lib thinks the United States economy is a NASCAR race-

Some mistakes by top drivers up front touched off a chain reaction, creating an economic crash of mass bankruptcies, foreclosures and layoffs that still continues. In the first quarter alone, the nation’s gross domestic product fell by more than 6 percent.

As a result, millions of Americans —- many of them smart, experienced and highly skilled workers, people who thought they had paid the price for success —- find themselves sidelined, out of the race through no fault of their own.-bookman, Urinal

Yeah, Obozo is driving some of the “cars” in the wrong direction, wait until you see the wreck this causes.

In NASCAR, if a strong car starts to dominate the field, they do not stop the race and punish that driver by making all the other cars “equal,” they let him win the race and collect the biggest prize. You know, hard work and effort paying off.

What a quaint notion.

Dusty, I saw the interview with Gates. You are correct that we are blessed to have him in charge of the military. His answer to the question on whether he liked his job was chilling. He said that how could he when he felt responsible for each of the deaths and injuries of our servicemen since he put them in harms way. The day he was sworn into office he checked the casualty list to monitor casualties, that he now felt that he was responsible. He does the job because it is his duty. A true patriot!

That was my original post prior to the so-called deception you accused me of. A footnote at the site referenced the Catechismic but after you accused RW of misleading, I thought it best to go directly to before so claiming. Just didn’t feel the need to repeat what I’d already posted.

No apologies necessary.

Hope you enjoyed your TeeWee show last night.

Biden probably gave up the location of the secret lair because Cheney won’t leave… It’s been his home for 7 years, well except for the last 2 weeks when we’ve seen and heard Darth more than we had for the previous 4 years…

Just like a Republican, no answers on how to fix things while they have the opportunity, but now suddenly they have all the answers to what needs to be done… Of course since they caused all the problems we currently have, maybe they do have the answers… hmmmmm

Better quit while I’m ahead, don’t want to get shot in the face.

In NASCAR all the cars are outfitted equally to prevent a car from “dominating” thus making it a true test of the drivers not the machines. But we’re still under a yellow flag and trying to clean up the horrendous chain reaction crash caused by the car of the cocaine cowboy GWB. There’s still a good bit of confusion as to who was actually driving the car of the cocaine cowboy GWB as there were quite a few people in there when the crash occured. They found Dick Cheney at the wheel and Don Rummy Rumsfield riding shotgun with Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson in the back teabagging each other and propping GWB’s head up to keep the him from vomiting on thier shoes….

ewwwwwww……

“SecDef Rumsfeld delivered them to the White House where they were read by Pres Bush.”

????????????????

From the NY Times: “Lawrence Di Rita, Pentagon spokesman when Rumsfeld was defense secretary, said he had no recollection of the biblical briefs and doubted that teh famously acerbic former defense secretary wold have tolerated them for long, much less have shared them with the president. The GQ article reports that the cover sheets were thought up by a general who worked on the Joint Staff.”

Doesn’t quite support the ‘religious neocons on a crusade’ caricature, though, does it?

It’s far beyond manipulation…it’s full fledge control (via the Globalist Elite). The vetting process requires many things including dirt/skeletons in the closets (to keep on a tight leash), conformity to the Globalist agenda, established relations with Globalists & top “players”, and willingness to sell one’s soul. The Puppet-in-Chief must now carry forth the mandate of the Central Banking Cartel, the senior leadership of the CFR, Bilderberg Group, etc. Any lack of full allegiance to the Globalist agenda can lead to what befell JFK (for his signing of Exec Order # 11110.
