Heaven forbid she say something not PC....her answer was, and is, a breath of fresh air.

We need more people who are able to say what is correct, not what others want to hear for fear of offending!!!!

Jew,

"I responded as laws are now"

You also responded to a "hypothetical" question as stated in my post. If you didn't want to play the game, it would have been easier to take a pass.

hryder,

"Could this villifer have been doing this to ingratiate himself with other males of the homosexual community as she did in the heterosexual community?"

Perez Hilton tries to ingratiate himself to publicity, that is about all.

N.J,

As I understand it, many of the DOMA suits are for withholding SS survivor benefits. Have heard something different?

Interesting how a person has been so castigated for expressing a personal opinion , which are always correct by definition, and actively taking steps toward that goal: a)discreet nude photos, b)beauty contest entrant, and c)breast enhancement. All designed to attract males to this female. A huge percentage of our economy is based on this type of activity, one purchasing or pursuing activities that will attract others of the opposite sex. And then a person, who should never been asked to serve on a judging panel, asks a question that is totally inane in the setting in which it was asked, goes ballistic. Could this villifer have been doing this to ingratiate himself with other males of the homosexual community as she did in the heterosexual community?

And fortunately two decisions in federal courts decided that DOMA was unconstitutional and a third has already been sent to be placed on the calendar of the Supreme Court. It is expected that this Supreme Court WILL overturn DOMA as a states rights issue, without asserting the rights of gays to marry, which results in the fact that while a state can decide that it does not want to allow same sex marriages in it, it will have to recognize the marital rights of gays who marry in other states, all that a resident of a state that does not allow marriage in it will have to do is get married someplace that does, and then return home and his state will have to extend marital rights to them. There are several federal laws called Marital Harmonization laws, that do not define marital laws, but make it necessary for every state to have the same basics. Which means one state might not allow same sex marriages to be performed in them, but they would have to consider people who are married in other states to have their marriages recognized in them.

All the Supremes have to to is simply nullify DOMA as not being a right that the Federal Government had to make.

Actually Christianity orignally was not monogamous at all. In the middle ages, commoners didnt marry more than one person, largely for economic reasons, but it was common for the nobility to have legal spouses in every area they controlled. In fact married by the Church.

md,

I responded as laws are now, not some Planet of Ape time in the future. If someone in the future works to emancipate my wiener dog, good for them.

And I will not be on the "other" side, because if that day comes, I'll dance a jig, and attend the marriage of my pooch to the partner of his choice. (No kids unfortunately, he's fixed).

"Arbitrary lines set for the given set of rules at the time. Rules change and so does the line."

Yep, that is why gay marriage is inevitable.
