Willie’s guitar is a subtle thing of beauty. It’s a little thing, but I think it merits mention.

and I was thinking a bit about something that another elderly game-changer, Pete Seeger, said in a recent interview. He was asked about the magnitude of recent political changes, and specifically about being honored on his 90th birthday at Madison Square Garden with a bunch of rock stars.

His take, my paraphrasing: “I don’t believe so much in change from big things. I think change happens from a million little things.”

Like, say, Willie’s guitar.

There was a time, not too long ago that stories such as these would have never appeared within the pages of the Urinal-

Well, the stories would have appeared but they never would have been editorialized by the “Conservative” news editors at the AJC, before it would have been a foregone conclusion that the US sucks and much whining would have commenced.

Gee, I wonder what changed since that time?

I agree very much. He wasn’t a vulgarian, but I do miss the Corporal. He and I didn’t agree, but he was interesting.
