The things you learn from Twitter

from Erick Erickson:

“Rachel Maddow’s Viewership Drops 40% From Peak (Just get her a Janet Reno vibrator and she’ll be ok.)”

from Newt Gingrich:

“Had a nice fish dinner at le mistral in mclean. Callistas dover sole was good but my trout was better. The mussels were superb”

Yet another technology in search of a useful application.

Is Callista the current wife or the next wife?

Rachel Maddow’s Viewership Drops 40% From Peak

Wasn’t Erick the same assclown who was distributing some hilariously phony web-hits chart that just proved how Kos’ traffic had declined precipitously? And it turned out his April stats were only for the first week?

I know he’s your friend and all, but Jay, couldn’t you maybe have a word with him?

How’s that working out for ya, Erick?

I want to keep up with the trendy technology to some extent, but I just don’t see my self ever twittering. Seems so self absorbed….

And Newt…..hell run him for President. Please!

Hope the future ex-Mrs. Newt got a good pre-nup.

Is Newt on his 4th or 5th?

I’m glad I don’t know how to use the twitter.

Maddow has a better show than Olbermann. It doesn’t help that David Schuster subs on Countdown and he is unwatcheable. I always get a feeling that I want to stick forks in his eyes.

So if Obozo is on his BlackBerry, his TelePrompter is updating it’s Facebook page and everyone else is “twittering” and/ or “texting,” who is doing The People’s Business?

Hmmm?

“who is doing The People’s Business?”

I suppose we should ask that if Obama takes off the ENTIRE MONTH OF AUGUST in his first year to clear brush in south Chicago, too?

But at least until now, the U.S. political system has avoided the spectacle of a new Administration prosecuting its predecessor for policy disagreements. This is what happens in Argentina, Malaysia or Peru, countries where the law is treated merely as an extension of political power.-Wall Street Journal

Welcome to the Third World, America.

Members of Congress calling for an investigation of the enhanced interrogation program should remember that such an investigation can’t be a selective review of information, or solely focus on the lawyers who wrote the memos, or the low-level employees who carried out this program. I have asked Mr. Blair to provide me with a list of the dates, locations and names of all members of Congress who attended briefings on enhanced interrogation techniques.-Wall Street Journal

Now we’re talking.

And by the way, moonbats, I thought Cheney “shredded” all of the memos?

duh

from the previous thread:

md, staying in school isn’t always a choice. When something occurs in the family and a teen is forced to be the family breadwinner, the whole “stay in school” mantra, good as it is, goes out the window.

Like I said before, choice is for people with money or means. The poorer you are, the fewer choices you have. Priorities become crystal clear when you are really hungry, the shelves are bare, and you don’t have money. What if you have siblings younger than you who are hungry, too – you go out and you get a job.

Things you learn from Jay Bookman’s blog…

“Global warming” is now “Climate Change”

Excessive spending(borrowing) by Republicans is wasteful, irresponsible, and an economic drag(true enough).

EXCESSIVE spending(borrowing) by Democrats is necessary, efficient, and stimulative.

Relying on unnamed sources sourced by someone not yourself to buttress one’s preconceived notion is acceptable journalism ethic.

BHO’s integrity and veracity is beyond reproach.

Joe Biden is credible and creditable.

The Iraq War is illegal despite the fact that Iraq violated the Desert Storm cease fire terms hundreds of times, etc., etc.

GWB really lost the 2000 election despite press recounts.

Al Gore’s book, “An Inconvenient Truth”, refers to global warming/climate change and not the electoral college.

etc.

etc.

etc.
