1) The 20 times thing is “hyperbole”. We just need to get the salaries down.

2) I really do disagree on the “degree of talent” thing. It’s all relative. We know the best high school football team of today could probably beat a pro team of 50 years ago.

To me a high school, college or pro game is just as exciting in their own way. As long as there are hundreds of thousands to play (even pro sports) the teams will be roughly equal and the play will be just as exciting.

1) He was speaking generically to all Christians as a group ……. of course one person cannot preach to everyone (even a Billy Graham) so your point is not valid.

2) The main point for YOU now is that YOU have been preached to. What does that mean?

That means if you are correct in your theology – no big deal. It means if I am correct and you are wrong – you have heard the Gospel, you have made a decision to reject it, you will have to live with that for eternity , you have NO EXCUSE.

Again, that point is only valid “if” I am correct in my theology. Time will tell.

My inference, in the post that you failed to quote correctly, was that someone sounded like they were ‘drunk’ with religion and that they needed to sober up. Now, regarding your quote, How many of the “creatures” on this planet have you preached to. One must not try to interpret the word — just obey it. As for me, I preach to my dog every day. I say “good boy” when he is good and “bad boy” when he is bad. Never preach to plants though.
