In many ways, the events unfolding before our very eyes over the last few election cycles is sad. It's is similar to losing a pet. You feed it and care for it and try to befriend it and then one day it is no longer there...What is the Republican party. Where have all its faithful gone. Alas, poor Reaganites, you could have been missed. Instead, you only have missed opportunities to lament.

Pithy comment, DCI.

Care to back up that opinion with a FACT or two?

The silence will be deafening.

And since you haven't been paying attention, DCI, I'm not a Republican. I'm a Constitutionalist, and you aren't equipped to handle that.

I can hardly wait for the next installment of the GOP Follies.

I've been laughing every day lately watching their three ring circus of irrelevance.
The way they twist themselves in knots trying to be for and against everything at the same time is hilarious. They spin one way, (no control of executive compensation can possibly be allowed) only to discover they need to spin the other way, (it's Dodd's fault AIG got bonuses) and end up so dizzy they all fall down.

HaHaHa HoHoHo HeHeHe. I tell you, watching these clowns is better than the Stooges.

My favorite was the trap Pelosi set where the party of "all tax cuts all the time" voted for a 90% tax rate for individuals. HaHaHa, oh man you couldn't write this stuff.

Glenn Beck and his "tea bagging" parties, come on, if you saw that skit on SNL you would say the writers must have been stoned. Comedy just doesn't get any better than today's GOP.

"George Bush never happened."
"Federal spending freeze."
"Obama recession"
"It's all Obama's fault, er' I mean Dodd er uh Reid, Pelosi, Geithner, Summers,or the devil or Bart Simpson."
"Obama's not doing enough, er I mean he's trying to do too much."

The list just keeps growing.

Taxpayer

March 22nd, 2009
11:10 pm
What do you think religion is if it is not a leap of faith, Corporal. All things that I accept that are not proven to my satisfaction by science are instead ‘proven’ to me by faith. I answered your question. You just refuse to accept that fact. Your desire to narrow my views of faith down to some narrowly defined subset of the whole mean nothing to me.

Corporal, Taxpayer pounded sand up your posterior with that one.

Congressman Flake: I don’t think there’s any doubt that the federal government played a large role in this mess. Implicit, and eventually explicit, ----------->federal guarantees in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac shielded the financial services sector from market discipline.<------------- The various bailouts have prevented the market from reaching its natural bottom.-AmSpec

Gee, where have you heard that before?

Midori, I really like you.

It takes a courageous person to continually post here as you do, being such a bigoted, humorless racist such as you are and all.

And for CH, he/she is a fountain of useless gibberish, continually being hacked as the partisan left wing nut that he is. I just thought you two would go well together.

Oh, and the Special Olympics twist I put on these posts, does it sound more vile to you simply because it comes from a conservative, instead of your lord and master, The Messiah?

Taxpayer, you remain so easy to debunk. re: Your 10:39:

We'll take the Republican portion of the debt and deficit. How would you like that divided up, by Congressional debt or Presidential? Congressional seems much more fair, since they are the ones with budgetary approval authority. Either way, our portion will be retired much more quickly than yours will be.

We'll gladly and proudly keep the military.

We'll gladly keep Wall St. as well.

We'll take all the red areas, including all those that are governed by Republicans at the state house level.

No payment for infrastructure, as you will be getting the infrastructure we already paid for. Don't you realize your free ride is now over, Taxpayer? That is the reason for this split.

We'll take our share of the police and jails, too. How are you going to afford yours? We'll take the judges as well. Those that conform to the original intent of the Constitution will, of course, stay on. Those that don't will be unemployed and will be emigrating to your country.

We’ll be glad to give you the EPA and FDA.

Our trading partners will be far more than yours because we will be able to manufacture goods and services more efficiently and quicker than your country ever will, because we'll have all the businesses flocking to our country with the low taxes and low regulations. What will you have? That's right - a country of leeches with a dwindling blood supply. How's that working for ya, Taxpayer?

And we'll never take anything by force. That is YOUR specialty. Proven by history.
