So Rural Georgia Boy...are you admitting that you are a shiftless welfare recipient?? I'm just curious. I mean since you are a "rural" dweller and all you most CERTAINLY do not embrace such "socialistic" policies as wealth redistribution do you??

Darn right we get more money than we get taxed. Thats our strategy. Atlanta can continue to live in their own filth, as long as they continue to send us their money. Thanks Suckers !!

DB Gwinnet that was 80 years ago. How long does Milton need to pay 70% of the taxes to catch up and call it even?

There is no "Milton," any more than there is a Confederate States of America.

Where have we heard this before?-

The appeal of conservatism is the mutuality it asserts between individual and political freedom, its beautiful idea of a free man in a free society. And it offers minorities the one thing they can never get from liberalism: human rather than racial dignity. I always secretly loved Malcolm X more than Martin Luther King Jr. because Malcolm wanted a fuller human dignity for blacks -- one independent of white moral wrestling. In a liberalism that wants to redeem the nation of its past, minorities can only be ciphers in white struggles of conscience.-Shelby Steele, WSJ

Guilty white liberals?

I Report/You Whine,

Apparently in their quest to make the entire AJC print edition disappear without us noticing they have also told the "bloggers" to use less pages too. (Of course no blogger would cite another story without linking to it, but I digress)

Credit is due to the AJC though. Since they combined so many sections it was much easier to line my rabbit cage tonight. I didn't have to fumble with all the three page sections to assemble a good liner.

I don't know if that's good news or bad news. I was hoping for something else.

Nawaz Sharif is a dangerous man.

Whatever happened to the two a day Republican self help columns or the Palin obsessive compulsive rants, you know, the good old days, why are we bogged down in these state tax policy wonk obstufications?

Election data recently released by Congressional Quarterly shows 49 districts voted for a Democrat in the House and GOP nominee Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) for president, providing an early cheat sheet of potential GOP targets.-TheHill

It's almost as though Oblahma has these democrats demoralized, they've thrown in the towel, no longer do they taunt us day in and day out, now all we can look forward to are these meandering, pointless policy distractions, minor and insignificant detours from the real red meat issues, like how bad the democrats are gonna pay for all this over reach in 2010.

And here I thought we had a challenge on our hands.

This blog is tedious. There is 95% more state owned asphalt outside of Atlanta than there is in it. Any buffoon should be able to figure this out on their own but here's a regular sure enough throwing the 28 county metro area at us. What?

Frak, let's move on, for the love of God.

Dusty, cute riff on Alabama. However, I think Sarah would be severely challenged (no allusion there) to manage in any way to govern Alabama. No money=nothing to be thrifty with. Alabama is a mess almost without exception. No money to take your kids on trips with you, and no trips worth taking for that matter. (I feel like I can say this; I lived for 10 years in Alabama.)

Did you pay attention before the financial melt-down? It is easy to play fast and easy with someone else's money. It is easy to seem like a genius when you are around people with an IQ of 70. It is easy to win basketball games when you are the only person whose legs and arms work. It is easy to be a great hunter with a powerful rifle hunting from the air. It is easy to appear to be a fiscally conservative Governor when you have millions to play with that your people did not have to work for or give up anything (much) for, millions that you can strew around like flower petals at a wedding. (I don't know if they do that in Wasilla; not too many actual weddings up there.)

(Head)Rush is a good friend. I love him. I think he does great work and has for years. He has now offered to debate President Obama on his radio show. Hell, I’d pay to see that. … I think Rush is a good man and serves a very important purpose. ~ Dick(Head) Cheney
