While he makes many valid points, Rush "Limblaaah" is largely a Neocon who's adherent to the Globalist agenda. I think this current "beef" between him & "RINO" Steele is a ruse meant to dupe the GOP base. The Globalist Elite's MO is to control "both sides" and then present the illusion of a (supposedly valid) "difference" between them. This is a control mechanism meant to present the facade of a "choice". To see a true (paleo)conservative, look no further than Dr.Ron Paul!

And since Jay is so obsessed with polls:

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/03/04/poll-majority-say-obama-mortgage-plan-is-unfair/

"Sixty-four percent of those questioned in a Quinnipiac University survey released Wednesday feel the Obama administration program is unfair to those who pay their mortgages on time. Only 28 percent say that the president's $75 billion plan is fair."

So is this going to be another week where monday through thursday Jay writes lame blogs attacking talk radio, cites poll numbers showing conservatives as unpopular, and generally thumbs his nose at 80% of the Georgia population....then come friday he'll put up a short post about how we don't get along with a video of some old fart playing the piano or a Beatles album album cover.

It's not that I'm psychic, folks, it's just that I've been here for about a month already and it pretty much reminds me of Groundhog Day with Bill Murray.

BTW if Rush is the "leader" of the Republican party, does that make Jon Stewart the leader of the Democrat party?

One last thing regarding labels. First they were called communists, then they tried to call themselves socialists, then liberals, and now progressives. But it's all the same garbage no matter the label. Anyone who wants to keep it straight, just call them for what they are: Democrats.

Reading these blogs day after day just shows me how polarized 90%+ of you have become listening to Rush and other self-serving talking heads. Did you ever think calling Dr. Phil for advice or listening to Rush to get an opinion on politics makes you pretty helpless and pitiful?

I would think it would bother all those here, on the right and left, that our new President and his White House are spending the time and effort to attack a talk show entertainer and private citizen given our current circumstances. This is change we can believe in? The idea to paint him as the face of the Republican Party is in actuality, genius. The act and effort spent on doing so is vile and pathetic. For the record, never read nor heard a word from Rush Limbaugh and don't want to or care to.

I find this comment interesting, Jay: "As we saw over the last eight years, a movement tends to lose its discipline and sense of mission once it achieves power."

True to form with the current administration, based on what we have seen thus far. And even more true of the party in control of congress as it has gained greater control over the past 2 elections.

Well, I see the lousy libruls went and made a innernet place called www.imsorryrush.com where you can write a apology letter to old Rush by picking out words. If it didn't sound just like this Steele and Gingry when they went and kissed his butt it might could be funny.

I use to think I was a conservative, until the last 8 years added 6 trillion+ to the national debt and increased social authoritarianism.

Since 1992, Rush Limbaugh had a mantra. "Deficits Shmeficits".

Conservative as a term is meaningless.
