It’s good to see the far-right reasserting its control over the GOP, after their brief (and dangerous) flirtation with sanity. They might have actually become a relevant party with electoral appeal again!

The next election campaign is in 2010. Meanwhile, the USA faces one of the biggest threats in its entire history- the economic downturn. Should Republicans have wanted the FDR administration to fail against the Nazis in WWII, or the JFK administration to fail against the Soviets in the Cuban Missile Crisis? Rush Limbaugh and his ilk are no better than Bill Ayers and Tim Mc Veigh, placing ideology before country.

You have to love it. Rahmbo and Obamo have suckered the Republicans into either adopting Limbaugh’s views in totality, or risk his radio wrath. Beautiful. Come the next election, the face of the Republicans will be that of pompous, overweight, angry Southern bobbleheads, trying to get back to the 16th Century while the rest of the country moves ahead. What was it Abraham Lincoln, a real Republican, said? “Somebody help me let go of this hog.” Somebody help ‘em let go of Limbo Limbaugh: just when you think they can go no lower, they prove you wrong.
