Cold weather can be incredibly fun, just not in Atlanta. (As I type, my fiance is directing a blow dryer toward a frozen pipe. Not fun.) Here’s a list of closings and cancellations I’ve heard about so far this weekend. If you hear about others, please let me know in the comments!

• Fernbank Science Center is closed this weekend. It will reopen Monday, Jan. 11.
• Zoo Atlanta is closed Jan. 9 and 10.
• Four Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System locations are closed Jan. 9: Alpharetta, Fairburn, Hapeville and Stewart-Lakewood. Twenty-eight other locations are open.
  
• Decatur’s Run With the Dogs 5K is postponed till Jan. 16. Read more.

• Despite reports to the contrary, Snow Mountain is open today.
• Woodruff Arts Center is re-opened today.
• The Atlanta History Center is re-opened today.
