Well, Joey Crabb scored a goal last nite so he is surely deserving of the call up now! LOL Did anyone notice Chelios had the GW goal last nite against Rockford? Yes, I am a hockey fan and I have an addiction problem!

Anyway, I just thought of something: did we send Krog back cuz we are making room for another D-man (Oystrick?) because Hainsey is more banged up than they are letting on?

DWTOO The difference is, no one tells the tool salesman (in writing, no less) how much he sucks, the company should get rid of his a$$. I think I’m pretty good at my job, but even if I screw up, I’m not publicly humiliated.

I also liked how Joni Mitchell once put being a musician, “No one ever told Picasso to paint “Starry Night” again”.

True…but as a fan, nobody cares about that. It does matter how you play in the NHL. Winning Championship in Chicago in the AHL doesn’t = wins for the Thrashers. If Krog can’t play worth a #$%#@ in the NHL…get him outta here.

It’s funny how some people on the blogs tend to denigrate guys because they’re good AHL talent, but, can’t make the jump to the NHL. Most of us don’t have the talent to play AAHL Double AA. Don’t know about you guys (and girls), but I’d kill to have the skill to play at the ECHL level. It’d be awesome to have the talent to play at the AHL level. You’re still one the top 1,000 players in North American. Sure beats being one of the top tool salesman or accountant.

When Don Waddell drafted Brett Sterling, I did cartwheels. I thought the organization had landed a guy who had fallen close to 100 spots in the draft. He was, after all, a finalist for the Hobey Baker, at Colorado College. I loved his NCAA career. Truly, I did. I counted myself as a “Sterling fan.” But, as time has gone by … I took the rose-colored glasses off, to see him for what he is: A top AHL player. Maybe he’s a ‘Tweener?’ But he doesn’t seem like a guy who’ll play 5-10 seasons in the NHL. Though, I’d love to be wrong about that. I thought Waddell was “right” to take a chance on him. And, in the sense of minor league championships, he was right. Drafting Sterling has helped the Chicago Wolves, in terms of their playoff successes.

But Sage of Bluesland would quickly jump in to say, “Who cares about minor league successes? What does that have to do with the Thrashers? Waddell is GM of the Thrashers, not the Wolves.” And that’s fair comment.
