I couldn't agree more, R.Stroz. And, your guess was leading the way, for most of the season, until the team had a big upsurge. Hockey Biltong, let me check my records. But right now, the only guesses I have from you were the "budget contest," where you entered $48.0 million for opening night. It's possible, in the multitude of blogs, and blog entries, that I missed yours. And if I did, My Bad.

I'll double-check my files tonight to see if I do have one from you. Anyone with more than 82-points or less than 71-points has been eliminated.

I'd like to report that there are nice/decent buffalo fans. We scored great seats in 109 thanks to the death of a Macaw, but it was Buf. attackX2 so we were surrounded by Buffalo fans.

I'd like to shout out Mike, who works here @ Sutra lounge, very decent guy, cheered loud for his Sabres but never once did he or his friends degenerate into the sort of name-caling and craptasticness we saw at the beginning of the game (I still thought you were gonna knock that guy's block off Stroz).

What a finish!

I think that a Thrashers-Sabres game may just be the best value in the NHL....when's the last time a game between us was decided in regulation?

Other thoughts: Wow Hainsey's game has detriorated since the beginning of the year. Bogosian makes you catch your breath-most of the time it's for a good thing, but every once in awhile, you can tell he's 18. Enstrom needs to shoot more, Hainsey needs to shoot A LOT more. More guys need to be looking for rebounds, I saw at least 3 "plus-plus" scoring opportunities, but nobody in front of the net, or nobody looking for a rebound. In particular, Slava left two or three shot-pass rebounds right there, only to see them swept away as Armi was tied up and Peverly was pushed out of the way.

Any word on Salmela?

Watching the Washington squad, I think that if DW gives Anderson the horses, we might just be seeing blueland open for business during the playoffs.

Nice seeing yall last night, great win.

ranallo, I believe I do know what you're talking about. I think it's just the kinks need to be worked out of the system.

I'll refer to it as a bug, though, just with a different part of the blog software.

News here... With NYI loss and our win last night, we are eliminated from being the worst team in the NHL... CANNOT happen.

Get real tired of these other cities refering to us as a team who their club should beat.... Like in The Buffalo News, they talk about how bad Atlanta is and Buffalo should not lose toan out of the playoff team...

Well you Buffalo Slug crybabies, we whipped you 4 times this season, our record 4-0 vs Buffalo... So who is NOT going to the playoffs ????

Enjoy the off season Lindy !

I still have the sounds of Philips ringing in my ears (or is that R.Stroz's bullhorn? What a way to win!

Met a very nice 14 year old girl in a fedora last night, Ms. Julienne (sorry if I misspelled your name). She's grown up watching Thrasher's hockey, and is a huge fan of the game.

The slug fans were loud before & during the game, but seemed really quiet when they left. Wonder why? Maybe getting swept by us (and eliminated from the playoffs) had something to do with it?

If we can play this way next October, we will definitely make the playoffs, regardless of free agency & the draft!

Every once in a blue moon, it seems that LAC and myself agree on something. We do need a couple of scorers - a third line guy and a second line guy, methinks, as well as a good D-man - maybe two. Get it done, Donny Wad.

It's really funny, though. This team looked so far away in November. They had their fluke win streak, and went back to sucking it up. Now, they've pretty much played lights out, they've played strong. People seem to want to attribute this to Atlanta playing more open, since they "have nothing to play for." That's fine, really. But isn't that what the Anderson system is? Playing more open? The boys are hustling out there, and it's really nice to see that sort of work being put in, whether it's a game we should win or a game we may very well lose (PIT, DET).

I'm looking past all this and towards the draft, lottery be damned.
