Atlantic Station’s free weekly Winter Wonder Jam, which began Dec. 2 with a concert from Citizen Cope, concludes this week with the Band Perry.
Citizen Cope was followed by Sister Hazel and Gavin DeGraw, but this week’s final show might be the biggest yet.
The sibling trio scored a No. 1 country hit in 2010 with “If I Die Young” (which was also a Top 20 pop hit and the Country Music Association’s single and song of the year). They followed that up with “You Lie,” which climbed to No. 2. The band’s latest single, “ All Your Life,” just moved into the Top 10 and shows no sign of slowing down.
How often do you get to see a free show from a band that just scored the most wins at the Country Music Association awards ceremony? Everybody wins with this one. The show starts at 7 p.m. in Atlantic Station’s Central Park.

Sweet action! I will be in Midtown anyway.
This will be a much more joyous occasion than when UGag beat us 31-17. I LOVE the Band Perry and bring my boyfriend, I’m sure the crowd could use 2 more guys to dance & sing!!!!

As SB mentions, they did grow up around Mobile, Alabama, and got their start in music there, but they now live in Tennessee, so I removed the reference to them as an Alabama trio.

Clearly you have not been to Atlantic Station recently- “Suburban Guy” and are showing your ignorance. It’s a great place to go at night- I live in suburbia too and was down there last weekend for the Gavin DeGraw show which was a lot of fun. Sometimes you need to venture out of your bubble.

Of the Band Perry Brothers: One I want to, um, “know.” The other I’d like to take shopping. Guess which is which?! And we’re already at Atlantic Station so we know the shopping will be awesome!

You couldn’t pay me to go see them. What happened to real country music? All this new age Carrie Underwood, Rascal Fags, and Gaylor Swift stuff SUCKS!!!!!!! I would definitely rather die young than listen to this crap ever again.

Hey, “not country,” the warbling days of Porter Waggoner are over, thank goodness. The entire genre has never been this popular, and it’s Swift, Underwood, Flatts, Paisley, and Keith that are doing it.
As for the Band Perry, they’re the real deal; if you don’t like their music, you don’t like music.

Hey NOT Country, while I agree Underwood, Flatts, Swift, etc., aren’t traditional country acts, who cares. Like Merle sang, “If you don’t love it, leave it.” Except in this case, if you don’t love it, don’t listen to it.
I like The Band Perry and wish I was able to see the concert, but can’t. Oh well, maybe next time.

I am impressed that you spelled Greeneville correctly. Most folks leave out the E in the middle which annoys me as I live in Greeneville myself.

Funny- in their BIO on their Official Website they do not mention Greeneville,TN; however, Mobile is mentioned multiple times as their starting point and stomping grounds. Wiki is not always the only place for information. I couldn’t care less either way– just thought it was funny that a person would get so offended about the Alabama reference when clearly they did come from Mobile and started there prior to moving. It’s like saying Jason Aldean is not from Georgia because he now lives in Nashville.

I do agree the two guys in the Band Perry look like they are about to audition for Teen Wolf. That hair style die in the 70’s and should have never been brought back.
