Comments on: Who has the best band among HBCU schools?

Southern University’s Human jukebox and those fabulous Dancing Dolls (and I do mean dolls),
are second to none. I have seen just about every HBCU band and dance group and thereisn’t any comparison. It must be very difficult for a band to take the field after Southern has finished it’s halftime show. Several years ago my family and I went to a game at FAMU. Southern’s band arrived a few minutes late. We were sitting in FAMU’s student section. They started yelling ‘look at that high school band’ . The jukebox had a classy halftime show as usual. Then came that big orange and green band that could not fit on the field, about 20% of them were not in uniform and the sound was horrible. Do I need to continue? Sorry FAMU but bigger isn’t always better.

First of all the sorry marching 100 from FAMU are horrible and just have an unbalndced sound. everyone who has graduated from there and has become a band director march for numbers and sound exactly like FAM. the Bethune Cookman Marching Wildcats on the otherhand STOMP THOSE RATTLERS. Just watch the 2009 florida classic halftime show!
