Atlanta Hawks game thread: Waiting on starting lineup (updated)

Vivlamore reporting.

Larry Drew was still undecided about his starting lineup against the Wizards an hour before tip off. The coach was still deciding whether to go with a smaller lineup or make an adjustment based on some of the success the Wizards had in their meeting two weeks ago.

Despite their height disadvantage, particularly in the backcourt, most games this season Drew has gone with a smaller lineup. It something he came to terms with during the offseason when the roster went through an overhaul.

Stay tuned for his decision. UPDATE: Starters are Teague, Harris, Stevenson, Smith and Horford.

The Wizards have won two of their last three games – their only victories of the season. According to coach Randy Wittman, his team is looking to build on those efforts, including their win over the Heat this week.

“That’s the main thing that we take from these last couple of games that we continue to build on them,” Wittman said. “We don’t take steps backward and it stops and the ball stops moving and we starting holding. We showed them the Miami game. We watched it and the things that we did. That’s what we have to continue to build on. We can’t let what we did in the Miami game go to waste.”

There is no local television broadcast tonight. Radio only in Atlanta.

Lottery pick point guards make your team so much better…Most of the time anyway…lol

Felton was a #5 behind Marvin, Chris and D-Will in 2005!

Rev,

I could not believe what I watching last night? No Melo, no Amare and the Knicks dismantled Miami on their home floor? It was the worst Home loss for the big 3 at home..

Glad it wasn’t the worst Road loss for the big 3 at home . . . .

Andray Blatche is playing “Grown Man Basketball” for the Brooklyn Nets. Turns out he was a missed opportunity for us. Blatche can play the 4 or the 5 effectively.

Understand this Bloggers, we are 10-5 and in 3rd place in the east, go figure! Not bad for a bunch of average Basketball players. Imagine if we had a “go-to-guy.”

Devin Harris with 12 points and 3-4 from “downtown”. Devin Harris playing Grown Man Basketball. We have got to start Devin at the point and he needs to finish at the point! PERIOD!!!!

Our guys need to get into the weight room. Al should carry about 265-270lbs if he wants to be more dominant in the post. Post play is about attitude.

Teague looks a lot better tonight on both ends. Looks like LD sitting him last game woke him up. Devin Harris seems to have found his rhythm too. Nice board work by Zaza tonight too. I still think guys need to give up the ball a little more on the break to the pg’s. Good game so far.

Teague was getting schooled by Lawson the other night, that’s why he looks more relaxed tonight..

how does devin hit so many threes in the first half and then throw up an air ball on a wide open shot?
