Hawks request waivers on Farmar
As expected, the Hawks requested waivers on guard Jordan Farmar Monday.
Farmar was acquired from the Nets on July 11, along with Anthony Morrow, DeShawn Stevenson, Johan Petro, Jordan Williams,
a first- and second-round pick and other draft considerations, in the Joe Johnson trade. The move saves the Hawks $2.5 million in salary cap space.
Farmar has indicted he intends to play in Turkey.

I little off topic, but good job to the Hawks brass for not giving Josh Childress a big contract when he came back from Europe a few years ago. Now that Phoenix released him, it will be interesting to see if he finds another NBA team or has to go back to Europe to find playing time.

I’m loving what the Hawks are doing, even i we don’t make the playoffs…we finally doing something in the offseasonto bring hope to Ga. In the pat we didn’t do anything in the offseason. Ferr will get it riht but itmight take a few yrs ut he will et us to the promise land
