heh heh at o’b, didnt see your same points or i would have saved the time and effort, logic dont work bro. he is trying to be as slippery as rick sund. not sure but did you say earlier sund maybe was doing the basg bidding only? maybe it was as much he was always telling them what they wanted to hear that works well especially in a very self centered narcissistic organization mirroring.

Did I just see Al draw a double team on the drive and pass out to somebody who hit the open 3? Nah…must have been somebody else.

LD is always in trouble.

Now Al will want to dribble the entire court and shoot 3s.

Oh wait, I forgot only Josh is allowed to do that and have fans ignore it. Al should know by now that this double standard exists…

Boring….I think I’ll tune in when TEAM USA faces a team that’s an actual challenge. DR can’t deal with these guys.

Durant’s out there playing a game of HORSE with the DR…and it’s from the same spot every time…LOL

The best thing that could happen to the Hawks is if we are able to get some thing of substance for
Al, Its pretty clear that the guy is clueless. Its one thing that he has very limited skill sets but the Dude is really very Dumb. He would be better if he could think his way out of a wet paper bag.

Hawks at their best according to LD. Do you like how Ferry is sending LD a message, saying the Hawks will play more through their guards this year?

Buddy ,

I love it. Sund was all about “uhh….I’m leaving that up to the coach…ask him…” because he knew Gearon hired LD against his recommendation and without considering his opinion (translation: yes man).

Ferry has already talked about actual strategy in that one simple statement. You gotta love that.

I like that Ferry came in and hinted he was trying to build around Josh. Brought in all the ATL homies and is going after D12. He has pretty much told Al hes trade bait. Al seems ok with it so cool Every body happy.

ESPN.com is reporting talks of a 3 way trade for Howard between Houston, LA, and Orlando have cooled, while trade with the the Atlanta Hawks is gaining steam.

” Al doest have the Rank Josh does. and looking at this sick display he doesnt have the skills either. No wonder we were a better team with out Al last year.”

Hawks made it into the 2nd round of the playoffs and won two games with al horford 2 years ago. Hawks got bounced out of he first round with an unhealthy al horford last year. last year was a lockout shortened year with a lot of teams struggling and only hitting their stride by the time the playoffs came along, which is why the hawks were so good during the regular season but got beat down in the playoffs. Wow you is dumb.

The more Al plays without good players around him, the less chance we have of trading him for Dwight.

Man Al is a PF and the man is not dumb. He is one of the only dudes on the team that shows any passion and acts like he wants to win for the hawks. Josh Smith stagnates the offense at times by just going one on one and taking horrible jump shots that he don’t have any business taking. Teague can be better, but it seems his teammates don’t trust him and his coach or somebody won’t let him run the offense. Get a legit rim defending center, move horford to the four, get josh to stop thinking he Lebron James, and let Teague penetrate and open up shots for other players.

” Actually the Hawks missed ZaZa possibly more than Al after Duck broke his foot near the end of the regular season..”

How would you know that unless dey played with Al but not zaza you is so dumb. The team missed zaza more because he was the only other center who could play and when your only two centers are not at health then of course you miss them. Nobody cares about those other two bigger crypt keepers on the bench who are useless and hope ferry never signs them back.

Dwight Howard isn’t the only big man on the minds of the Los Angeles Lakers’ front office staff these days.

One source familiar with the trade negotiations said Thursday that calls between the Houston Rockets and Lakers discussing a three-way trade have cooled, while the Atlanta Hawks appear to be gaining steam in their pursuit of Howard.

More on the Lakers

For more news and notes on the Lakers, check out the Land O’ Lakers blog from the Kamenetzky brothers. Blog

With Howard’s eventual destination still anybody’s guess, the Lakers are turning their attention to adding a backup big man or two.

The Lakers remain in negotiations with Jordan Hill, who averaged 4.7 points and 4.4 rebounds in seven regular-season games with L.A. after being acquired from the Houston Rockets at the trade deadline in March. Hill’s agent, Bill Duffy, told ESPNLosAngeles.com on Wednesday that there was still some distance between the two sides, but he planned to circle back with Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak before Hill made his final decision. The Lakers hold partial Bird rights to Hill and can offer him a maximum of $3,632,450 per season for up to five years.

Aside from Hill, appearing on the Lakers’ “short list” of names they are hoping to add to the roster for the veteran’s minimum are Antawn Jamison, Elton Brand and Jermaine O’Neal, according to a source familiar with the team’s thinking.

The Lakers also have the “mini” mid-level exception available to them, beginning at $3 million a season, but prefer to hold off on using that in case a Howard deal goes down involving multiple players and they are left needing to fill a glaring void.

Not only is adding a backup big man a priority because signing Hill might not work out, but because Josh McRoberts and his expiring $3.1 million contract have drawn interest from other teams in potential Howard trade scenarios.

Jamison, 36, averaged 17.2 points and 6.3 rebounds last year for Cleveland in his 14th season in the league, but shot a career-low 40.3 percent from the field.

He was acquired by the Cavaliers via trade in 2009-10, the last season Lakers coach Mike Brown was at the helm for the Cavs. The Lakers are in competition with several other teams for Jamison’s services, including Brooklyn, Golden State and Charlotte, and a source close to Jamison said on Thursday the Nets appeared to be his preferred destination at the moment.

The final one-year, $18 million remaining on Brand’s contract was amnestied by Philadelphia on Thursday. Brand, 32, averaged 11.0 points and 7.2 rebounds for the 76ers last season. Brand will be first made available to teams under the salary cap through the waiver process, with under-the-cap teams able to bid on him. Dallas is under the cap and has interest in Brand, according to ESPN.com’s Marc Stein.

If Brand clears waivers, he will be free to sign as a free agent wherever he chooses and could decide a return to L.A., where he played for the Clippers for seven seasons, would be in order.

O’Neal, 33, played just 25 games for Boston last season, averaging 5.0 points and 5.4 rebounds before having his year end because of left wrist surgery. The market for O’Neal is not as robust as it is for Jamison and Brand and the Lakers figure he could be worth the risk if he can come into camp healthy.

O’Neal recently traveled to Germany to visit Dr. Peter Wehling, the same doctor who Kobe Bryant has consulted in recent years. O’Neal is also a member of the famed 1996 draft class, along with Bryant and Steve Nash. Bryant said that draft connection helped in convincing Nash to want to come to the Lakers.”

“After Hinrich fully recovered from shoulder surgery, Rick Sund should’ve tried to swap Crawford for Hinrich straight up since POR was desperate for a point guard or at least a combo guard with rather extensive point guard experience to replace Felton and since the Hawks needed another proven scorer heading into the playoffs due to the Al Horford injury.”

Perhaps by then Sund had noticed the addition by subtraction of Jamal on defense. Better by 2.6 ppg. Why? No swinging gate.
